Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Seth Globepainter – Walking on a Dream

posted by on 26/03/2015

There is definitely something psychedelic about these murals that artist Seth Globepainter has been drawing all over the world. The paintings portray people, often young looking, being drawn into colourful whirlpools and the huge pieces cover entire buildings or walls. There’s certainly a suggestion in the work that art and colour can provide a temporary portal of escape but you can make your own mind up after the cut.

Aer Fit Pack | The Gym/Work Bag

posted by on 26/03/2015

Finding a bag that can hold all of your essentials for work along with gym attire that caters to a mobile lifestyle isn’t easy. Everyone hates that one person on the tube with the extra large backpack bursting at the seams that refuses to take it off! The Aer Fit Pack is a kickstarter project proposing a bag that blends clean and understated design with a the functionality required to store and separate everything you need on the go up to 19 litres. I weirdly really like the design for this, I mean sure it’s nothing to write home about –  but the simplicity does it for me. Although with all those compartments, better mind your “essentials” don’t get lost! More of the bag on the flipside.

Ben Sherman Spring/Summer 2015 | Watches

posted by on 25/03/2015

Ben Sherman have launched their watch collection for this year’s spring summer; with a varied range of timepieces, the collection highlight’s Ben Sherman’s classic approach to design all the while staying true to traditional British heritage. With a clear focus for timepieces than can be worn everyday with both smart and causal looks – the smarter range blurs the lines between form and function offering clean-cut style through a range of HQ leather and stainless steel straps and facades. The casual end of the collection has a more sporty appeal, dabbling slightly in more colour palettes and exploring a less design-led approach in favour of a more relaxed aesthetic. To further emphasise on the brand’s love for its heritage, each watch is designed and named around Ben Sherman stores – prices start from a decent £60. See the collection after the break.

The Bucket Board

posted by on 25/03/2015

I think you can pretty much make everything out of anything in 2015, which is great because it means less waste, we can reuse things that would once contribute to the ruin of our planet. This time the guys over at The Bucket Board have come up with a way of recycling buckets and turning them into skateboards, not only is the idea wonderful, the video is beautifully shot and cut, press play after the jump.

Mr. Happy | A Vice Short

posted by on 23/03/2015

I just got round to watching this short film put out by Vice starring Chance the Rapper and was pleasantly surprised. The story centres around a young man suffering from heartbreak and depression, so this isn’t something to watch if you’re sensitive to such themes. The basic premise though is clever and its characters believable, even the cinematography is appealing. I’m not sure Chance is quite as good at acting as he is rapping but you definitely feel empathetic with his character. You’ll see the “twist” coming a mile off but it doesn’t undermine the quality of the short, click play after the cut.

posted by on 23/03/2015

“Don’t decide your style based on my style” says Pharrell, the face of Adidas’ latest campaign: Supercolor. The campaign reinvents the iconic Superstar sneaker (which is celebrating it’s 45th birthday this year) using diversity as inspiration – the shoe will be available in FIFTY different colours and you know there are sneaker heads out there who’ll purchase the whole range. This will solve a lot of first world problems problems, there’s nothing more annoying than seeing a nice pair of trainers and hating all the colour ways – see, problem solved. Anyways, check out the short and sweet promo film after the break.

Timelapse | A Taste of Austria by FilmSpektakel

posted by on 20/03/2015

Simply stunning. Filmmakers, Thomas Pöcksteiner and Peter Jablonowski spend two years capturing every aspect of their home country Austria – from the more rural, mountainous views right through to the urban cityscapes. I’ve never had a desire to visit Austria in particularly but this timelapse does a pretty good job at convincing me to add to the list! I love the transitions and the variation in locations, the textures and also the way music has been incorporated here. Quite simply a spectacular ad for the country! Watch after the break.

Adidas Originals Tubular Runner New Releases

posted by on 19/03/2015

After picking up my first pair of Tubular Runner’s a couple of weeks ago, I’ve grown to like the shape more and more. Adidas Originals seem to be really pushing the design with a string of new releases in black, stone, blue and yellow. While an all black colour way will always be my choice, the “Sea to the Sky” pack in blue and yellow has a real appeal. Check them out after the cut.
