Tokyo at Night | Masashi Wakui

posted by on 16/03/2015

With our resident ninja, Derek, making his move to Japan last year, and Aaron exploring Asia, Tokyo has continued to rise in my list of places I need to see soon. With its dense urban build, it’s everything a city lover like myself would want. From what I’ve heard, Tokyo doesn’t sleep at night. Instead, it awakens even more so. Japanese street photographer Masashi Wakui does an incredible job at capturing this lively city at night. The neon lights, the reflective streets and the shadows from the buildings all around. In his photos, you can feel the life of the city. In everything from the people, the streets and the lights. Check out some of his beautiful shots after the cut.

Le Gouffre | A Short Film by Lightning Boy Studio

posted by on 23/02/2015

Le Gouffre (“The Gulf”) is an inspiring tale about friendship, sacrifice and conquering the impossible. It is a beautifully animated short film by Carl Beauchemin, Thomas Chrétien, and David Forest at Lightning Boy Studio, telling the tale of two friends forced to build a bridge to cross a canyon on their outdoor adventure. They take on the challenge, and what follows is a wonderful tale. A story of building a bridge has never been so moving. Added to the fact that the film was funded through kickstarter, where they managed to raise almost five times their original goal. I don’t want to give away anymore, just watch the film after the cut.
