Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Words of Wisdom: Casey Neistat

posted by on 10/03/2015

I’ve always admired Casey Neistat, his honest approach to filmmaking is often touching and his down to Earth character endearing. This short and inspirational film made by the guys over at JacksGap is not only explanation of why Casey does what he does but an example of how they have been inspired by his work. Spend an hour watching all of Casey’s old YouTube videos and I guarantee you’ll come away smiling. Video after the cut.

Nike ACG Spring 2015

posted by on 10/03/2015

Nike ACG continue to innovate within the technical apparel market with their latest collection designed to withstand spring in the city. The collection looks to be inspired by the urban explorer movement with its monochromatic palette and pieces that would fit right into the #teamcozy Instagram page. Fingers cross I get my hands on some of this. Check it out.

Adventure | Chris Burkard

posted by on 09/03/2015

If you hadn’t already noticed, we love to travel and photograph our adventures. So we appreciate others who do the same, particularly when they’re as good at it as Chris Burkard. Every shot of his is stunning and awe inspiring, scenes leave you breathless despite the fact that you’re only looking at them on a screen. I may have settled in London for now but I’m not sure how long it will be before adventure calls once again. Be inspired after the cut!

Haig Club London Launch

posted by on 09/03/2015

Last week alcohol beverage giants Diageo took over the Wellington Arch to celebrate the launch of new Single Grain Scotch Whisky, HAIG CLUB. “Designed to be different,” the new whisky was developed in partnership with David Beckham and will be available in the UK and across the world. Early in the week Beckham held a dinner with the likes of Tom Cruise, Guy Ritchie and Idris Elba in attendance. Fortunately we also had the pleasure of being invited to the Wellington Arch to experience the Scotch first hand, see what we thought after the cut.

3D Illustrations by Victor Nunes

posted by on 08/03/2015

We love to showcase art and photography that’s fun, we showed you some fun photo manipulation earlier this week with Flying Houses. It’s nice to be reminded that art can be serious, moody and contain a deep philosophical or political message, but it doesn’t have to be. Victor Nunes has created some some very simple illustrations which he brings to three-dimensional life using everyday objects. Check out the project after the cut.

NikeLab | Lunar Huarache Light

posted by on 07/03/2015

Stop it Nike, just stop it. The sportswear giants just keep dropping one fresh design after another and my bank account just can’t keep up. This time the guys over at NikeLab have fused the huarache upper with the lunarlon sole in an all white and all black colourway. Both will be available from the 12th March and will likely sell fast. Nike Flyknit Lunar 3

posted by on 05/03/2015

For a while now, trainers/sneakers have generally been my footwear of choice because they suit my lifestyle. I don’t work in a formal environment and I go to the gym every morning, carrying around spare shoes adds weight to my already heavy bag… Flyknits are always a clean shape and the Nike Flyknit Lunar 3 no exception, the ever reliable design is dropping in 4 new colours this March, so check out the latest selection after the cut!

How Instagram Fuels the Urban Explorer Movement

posted by on 04/03/2015

We’ve all seen those dope Instagram posts from the tops of skyscrapers or the depths of an abandoned warehouse. Some of these Instagrammers remain anonymous and some have become notoriously Insta-famous, you could say they’re like photographies graffiti artists. Well if you’ve ever wanted to take a look behind the lens and see how these guys get the shots they do, check out this video by Seeker Stories, it involves getting arrested and risking your life apparently. Flying Houses

posted by on 03/03/2015

Anything or anyone that appeals to my inner child will probably soon have my attention. Manipulated photography like this does just that, not because it’s childish but because it’s fun! Laurent Chehere is a French photographer whose work I greatly admire for its versatility. In this project he manipulates typical French houses into… typical French flying houses, obviously. Have a look at the attention to detail after the cut.

Wes Anderson Palettes

posted by on 03/03/2015

I’m sincerely sorry if you’re sick of seeing Wes Anderson related posts but how can you be?! When it comes to visual inspiration his films are wonders, even if his characters are irritating at times. Today I’m actually drawing attention to a Tumblr page, no not one of those dirty ones, Wes Anderson Palettes highlights and illustrates the precise colour palettes used by Anderson in his films. Beautiful stills become even more intriguing when their colours are isolated. At a time when a lot of popular “urban photographers” utilise gloomy palettes with every Instagram post, I think we could all take a leaf out of Wes Anderson’s colouring book. More after the cut.
