Review | Ed Sheeran @ The Hammersmith Apollo

Listening to good live music is a spiritually cleansing experience (even to someone skeptical towards the idea of a spirit), it has a profound effect that will live with you forever and listening to that music is never the same again, years later a sense of nostalgia will always bring a smile to your face in memory of your night packed like sardines into a hot, smelly venue with nothing to drink for hours, it really is glorious.

Everything Was Moving @ The Barbican

posted by on 18/10/2012

Photography is so much more than just images; well-taken photographs can capture emotions, stories, messages, memories and moments in history never to be repeated, all of which are suspended in time and forever to be relived. Everything Was Moving at the Barbican Art Gallery had been present in Yang’s “What’s On This Week” post for a few weeks and so after many, “I’ll go tomorrow’s”, I recently boarded the Metropolitan Line and made my way up to Barbican, not to be disappointed.

With that in mind, let us take a look at what they have on offer.

posted by on 03/10/2012

Following on from my previous post on the style inspiration I found in hit movie Lawless, I am again going to return discussion to the heritage and workwear trend looking at Edwin’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. “Heritage and workwear, not again…” I hear you say and for that reason, let us this time leave these words at the door and not confine ourselves to their associations.

Style Inspiration – Lawless

posted by on 29/09/2012

Following Fashion Week in New York, London, Milan and Paris you may think it impossible to find style inspiration from anywhere other than the runways of the four fashion capitals. So when I ventured to Westfield’s Vue Cinema to watch the loveable rogues Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, and Gary Oldman battle it out with detestable Guy Pearce to bootleg alcohol during 1920’s prohibition in Virginia, the last thing I expected to find was a handful of recent trends being sported by the cast.
