Ever since I visited Copenhagen I’ve wanted to commit to a life without public transport and just cycle everywhere. I refuse to do that in London because quite frankly, lorry and bendy-bus dodging isn’t really my idea of a healthy commute. Yesterday I came across this article; a proposal to convert some of London’s abandoned tunnels into pedestrian walk and cycle-ways to help alleviate the struggle that is London’s congestion during rush hours. Throwback Thursday | Branded Haircuts

If you paid regular trips to the barbers on the high street for your £5 haircut, then you would have been guilty of this. Back in the day it was completely acceptable to have the Nike, Adidas or even Umbro logo on the back of your head. I remember when my barber cursed me with a reversed Nike tick and I didn’t clock…. School was tough, I got rinsed! If this travesty wasn’t so frowned upon now, I wonder if kids would be getting the Apple logo on their heads? Anyway, this week’s throwback is dedicated to those ridiculous haircuts that a lot of us have been guilty of and would like to pretend never happened. And if you still get these done, it’s ok; we’re not here to judge. But we’d advise you to stop… now.

THIS IS NORMAL | a Short Film

‘This is Normal’ is a short film based on a deaf woman Gwen who contemplates undergoing a new surgical procedure to go from totally deaf to completely hearing; and as a result, risks losing her friends and identity. The moral of the film: “Is it worth giving up who you’ve been for the maybe you could become?” More after the break.
