Some people are really hard to buy presents for. My housemate is such a person, everything he wants or needs he goes out and gets it himself. So when Europcar came to me with the opportunity to come down to the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal play alongside Ray Parlour I knew that this a money can’t buy kinda of present.

In the lead up to the game he was so excited asking me all kinds of questions that I really couldn’t answer. We got to the stadium and at this point he was still relatively positive and confident however that all changed the moment Mr Parlour walked through the door. Simon, my housemate, because quiet and was almost in awe, you could tell that he was amazed just to be in the presence of an Arsenal legend.
Fortunately he was able to compose himself, at least he tried, before going up to Parlour and asking him to sign his three Arsenal shirts that he had brought along with him. As expected Parlour was a real gent and gladly signed the shirts and even going the extra mile to crack jokes with Simon to put him at ease. The guys at Europcar were very accommodating and made sure everyone was well looked after. As for the match itself, well unfortunately for Simon Arsenal lost to Swansea 2-1 but to be honest I don’t think he really noticed he was to busy trying to pick his jaw up off the floor.
