In 1924, two guys by the names of Harry B. Parkinson and Frank Miller shot a short documentary called “Wonderful London”. Today in 2014 a film-maker Simon Smith, spent the last few months recapturing the city exactly as the 19th century duo did, visiting each location and standing in exactly the same spots they did. Here Simon has blended the two documentaries together to create what he calls a “window through time”. London offers so much history and though its common knowledge, it’s nice to see how much of it has been preserved… there are moments where the docs look identical. I suppose props also go to Simon for executing this so well too. Watch Wonderful London V2 after the break.
