Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

This week Eargasms seems to have unintentionally been pieced together with a theme in mind. That theme being friendship, the reason being is that three of the tracks in this weeks selection come from friends of Y&Y. Raheem Bakaré, Joel Baker and Joleon Davenue from Phoenix & The Flower Girl all have Y&Y ties however we would include them if their tracks weren’t cutting it #NoFavouritism. Take a listen to our friends and seem if you like just as must as we do, p.s there’s some Drake up in the mix too if you’re into that.

Every Vessel, Every Vein

Our good friend Joel Baker is back with the first single off his upcoming EP. It’s been on repeat for the past few days, easy listening and beautifully written. The production is real different from the last album with the inclusion of more backing singers – love the gospel choir vocals towards the end of the track. Reminds me of College Dropout haha.

Portrait Of Love

I’ve been waiting for this boy to put out an EP for the longest. From the days when we were walking around in college to us being fully grown now. Finally the EP, entitled AWOL, will be released May 11th. Portrait Of Love is the first single to be taken from that EP and it is a slice of RnB heaven. Cool, smooth and fresh.

Days In The East

Once a massive Drake hater, I jumped on the hype with the release of Nothing Was The Same. Must admit I look forward to Drake dropping new music these days and this is one of two he’s put out in the last week. With dope production from PARTYNEXTDOOR, this one slows it right down.

Childs Play

I was instantly hooked when I first heard SZA’s hypnosis-inducing voice and it’s the same story with her new track. “Child’s Play” is just too smooth; the XXYYXX produced track is the kind that seeps into your mind leaving you no other choice but to relax. I like Chance The Rapper’s verse but at some points it sounds a little out of place.

Yes, She Knows

Another offering from Phoenix Troy, “She knows” is taken from his upcoming EP dropping 14th April. Loving the production on this one, it’s sparse and airy but there’s still some groove- the sound is unique. Looking forward to hearing the full EP.
