Welcome to 2014, folk. This is the time of the year when everyone reflects on what happened in the last year, so I thought it’s only right I follow form and do the same over here.

Last year was a good’un for Yin&Yang – we relaunched the site, shifted our creative positioning and distinguished ourselves as more than bloggers. We’re not in the business of curating – we’re creators.
We found new ways to tell you stories. From travelling the world (with YY Travel features in Rio, Switzerland and Malta) and exploring our city deeper; using words and images to paint portraits, breaking into buildings and exploring paths less trodden (Heygate Estate and Highgate Cemetery), to speaking to poets, musicians and footballers.
We shared more of ourselves. Yin chronicled how he got fit and DJB cooked for us. And offline, we held our first event, added new faces to the family, and cooked up a whole bunch of greatness that we could present to you online.
Your responses to last year’s work has shown us we’re on the right path, so thank you for rocking with us.
This year we get bigger, and better.
As a team we’re not the ‘resolution’ type so I won’t bother with any new year idioms. We thrive on quality over quantity, so rather than churning out regurgitated content we will continue to craft so we can create stuff that you – and we – care about, so you can look forward to a whole lot more of that this year.
Wishing you the best for 2014.
