A Conference Call in Real Life

posted by on 27/01/2014

Well, what a weekend – I’ll explain some day soon. Back to reality and back to posting! This is probably the most hilarious short I’ve seen in a while. It’s funny because it’s all true – conference calls are one of the most bizarre experiences that I have at work. Leadercast hired Youtubers Tripp and Tyler to promote their product with an ingenious video. Watch on the reverse. Don’t you just hate it when people show up halfway through a call?

B E A U T Y by Rino Stefano Tagliafierro

posted by on 27/01/2014

Well, I have never seen anything quite like this. Director Rino Stefano Tagliafierro has managed to manipulate 2D imagery to create an almost 3D effect on some classic and historic paintings. The results are simply out of this world. The slow motion of the paintings is astonishing where the subjects almost come to life. It becomes incredibly easy to become fully submerged in the paintings and really feel what they are portraying. Yeah, I really don’t know how else to describe this. Breathtaking stuff. Check it out after the cut.

Lacoste | Life is a Beautiful Sport

posted by on 24/01/2014

Lacoste was always that brand that covered every angle as I was growing up. The brand that stood for a bit of everything. It was classic sportswear that was trendy, sophisticated and functional, but still held that luxury appeal. With that, I am really pleased to hear that Lacoste is going back to their roots and founding values with their latest campaign launch #livebeautifully. Remaining sporty and relaxed, even when confronted with challenges; the true “Lacoste spirit”. To celebrate the launch of this campaign, the wonderful people at Lacoste invited us out to Paris for the #beautifulparty in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Short Film | Candor: The Art of Gesticulation

posted by on 23/01/2014

This is mesmerizing. New short film from Christian Weber questions the body language of long relationships while Sheila Heti ponders their very necessity to life in her article on Nowness. The black&white film is exquisitely shot, high clarity and close crops to capture the movement from and details in body language. I can’t disagree with any of the points he raises in the film either, they’re all correct. “Sometimes, it takes a force from the inside to make love last. And sometimes it comes from without—when it is the winds that whisper through the windows who say, “It is not break-up time today.” Watch on the reverse.
