Good Monday morning watch for y’all. PORT Magazine sat down with British Industrial designer to talk all things creative, his approach to design and my favourite part: on being unorthodox. This past week for me has made me question my role in advertising and that never ending urge to create something meaningful. Then heading to Barcelona for the weekend was just what I needed, especially seeing the cultural impact of Antoni Gaudí‘s work. It’s made me miss the craft side of things, actually making physical things and not just sitting around on Photoshop. Alas, I digress – Tom talks about why he likes to approach everything in an untutored manner. Stand-out quote for me: ‘I prefer coming to a field with as little knowledge as possible and try to look at it with childlike eyes’.
