It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

The Godfather Family Album

That’s another one to add to the bucket list. Shoot behind-the-scenes on set for a Hollywood film, image how epic that would be for a Scorcese film. Life goal. Taschen teamed up with photographer Steve Schapiro who was the lens man shooting behind the scenes of Francis Ford Coppola’s legendary trilogy – The Godfather. He gives us a raw insider’s view of the making, it’s without a doubt in the Top 10 of all films ever made. Steve was lucky enough to capture some of the best acting performances in history in still form, featuring the likes of Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton. A GIF-Ready Video From Dizzee Rascal

posted by on 12/09/2013

This won’t be an opinion on Dizzee Rascal and his music, but instead a little look at his latest video for I Don’t Need A Reason. I got sent this at work, and it thoroughly entertained me during my lunch hour. Nothing at all to do with the extremely attractive girls in the video (just something about that 19th century attire), but instead how it’s been made entirely GIF (and Vine) ready. Every scene is looped, meaning it can be easily cut up to make brilliant looped GIFs ready to be shared with the world. What a fantastic idea to get the video social, no? Check it out after the jump.

T. Lipop for River Island

posted by on 12/09/2013

I know, I know, some of us would like not to admit it but Autumn is here and Winter is soon to follow. The sun is setting earlier, there is a chill in the air and if you still want to wear your shorts and t-shirt, you are going to have to layer something over them. Alongside a killer A/W13 range, our good friends at River Island are also releasing a special 16 piece collaborative menswear collection with British designer T. Lipop set for release in September. The collection is perfect for the seasonal change and is certainly something to be excited about, the collection and behind the scenes shots after the cut.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 12/09/2013

We’ve gone way back to 1973 with this week’s Throwback track. It was the debut single of Barry White “Im Gonna Love You Just a Little Bit More Baby“. I can’t help but think the song title, didn’t need to be this long! Anyway, i’m not all too familiar with his entire library but from the albums I have, this for me is his best song. Amazing combination of the drums and piano and what a brilliant intro to song, almost as good as Billie Jean… maybe. Amongst other things, the smooth classic will also remind some people of Bruce Almighty or that episode of Friends… Listen after the break.

Apple Introduce New iPhones

posted by on 11/09/2013

Yesterday Apple introduced the hugely anticipated new iPhone 5s along with an all new, but not surprising, cheaper version dubbed the iPhone 5c. In addition to announcing two new handsets Apple also returned to the unveiling of iOS7 stating that it is to be released next week on September 18th. Existing iPhone users that are currently locked in contracts meaning that they wont be able to get their hands on the new phone will be able to freely upgrade their handsets to the latest iOS. Experiencing the new interface two days before the two new phones are released on September 20th. No doubt i’ll be calling my phone provider straight after I finish writing this demanding an upgrade. Mulberry Tea Time With Wedgewood

posted by on 10/09/2013

Y’all are probably thinking why am I writing about fancy teacups. I’m really digging what English luxury brand Mulberry have created to invite guests to their LFW show later this week. They’ve created a special miniature teacup and saucers with iconic tableware and lifestyle brand Wedgewood. Britishness at its finest. The only reason I know of the latter is down to the fact I watched endless hours of daytime television in my younger years: Antique’s Road Show, Bargain Hunt, Cash In The Attic – you know all that boring jazz that’s on during the day. It’s a smart way to invite your guests whilst staying true to the brand. More on the reverse.

Move Your Lee A/W13 Campaign

posted by on 10/09/2013

Lee have gone all artistic on us and dropped a viral that looks like a trailer for an independent film, it’s great! The denim brand continues their year long celebration of their 125th birthday as they unveil ‘Move Your Lee’. Featuring Lee’s autumn/winter collection, the clip is all about embracing hypnotism and your sub-consciousness. The choreography is actually very simple (even though people are leaping over each other and bouncing off of walls), but paired with the somewhat trippy soundtrack and stern voiceover, it’s quite a captivating piece. Yup, hypnosis is their latest ploy to get us to purchase their jeans, we see you! Watch it after the break.
