It’s always a nice change to come across something innovative in an industry that can, at times, feel boxed in by a brick wall. YrStore, one of Boxpark’s latest pop-up shops, has climbed over those neatly stacked pile of bricks and has shown us how technology and fashion can combine to make buying a t-shirt covered in fries and cats (if that’s something that interests you) an easy and enjoyable experience. Last Thursday Yin and I had the pleasure of visiting the YrStore pop-up shop in Boxpark for a blogger takeover event, as part of the O2 Campus Party. Check out our thoughts after the jump.

We all know that moment when you see a top you like but thought “damn, I love it, but I wish it was covered in T-Rex’s”. Well forget what you dinosaw (hell yeah), now that thought can be prehistoric (double hell yeah) with the customisation choices on offer over at YrStore.
YrStore gives customers the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild with touchscreen pods that hold a variety of built-in designs from patterns, shapes and galaxy prints, to ice cream cones and astronauts. You could produce something as plain as a white vest top with your initials plastered all over it, or something as wacky as a giant burger in space (…maybe that’s what I made). There’s also a digital art wall, where customers can create their own designs with the use of a digital spray can. Customers can also upload their own imagery/designs to give it that extra personal feel. After designing your top and pressing save, a couple of steps takes you over to the till where it will be printed there and then. We loved how YrStore really allows the consumer to be involved through use of technology, making the experience fun and exciting. Be sure to check out the shop before it leaves Boxpark.
