Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Reflection #3

posted by on 08/07/2013

After 4 months of working on the swoosh account, I’ve become a walking/talking brand bot. The short snappy motivational phrases have started creepy into my lingo. This one in particular has stood out from the moment I came across it on the Black History Month – Nike Sportswear spot.

Sketchy Stories – Doodle Art by Kerby Rosanes

posted by on 05/07/2013

There are a few abilities that I am particularly jealous of, most of which if I actually took the time and procrastinated less I could probably acquire, my excuse tends to be that I am too old to start now. One of these talents is the ability to draw. There are a select few people who you can give a pen and paper to and they give you back gold. Kerby Rosanes manages to fill notebooks with the precious metal in a way that appears not just creative but fun, take a look at the full post for more.

Badoit Express

posted by on 05/07/2013

Lunch hour etiquette varies (across cultures and age groups etc) but chances are the majority of Londoners head down to their local Pret or Starbucks for the usual sandwich and coffee combo. Badoit, the sparkling mineral water brand, hosted the world’s first picnic restaurant in London with the intention of adding a fine dining, contemporary twist to the casual lunch break. Check out the gastro goodness after the cut…

Customise Your Ray-Bans With Ray-Ban Remix

posted by on 04/07/2013

Have you ever wanted to feel special and have yourself a customised pair of Ray-Bans? Yeah me too! Thankfully a fully bespoke pair of the famous eyewear can now be purchased online. The new Ray-Ban Remix initiative allows customers to to apply various colours to each section of its iconic sunglasses. An array of styles are cutomisable including the Original and new Wayfayer, the Aviator model and the Justin. Ray-Ban Remix gives users the opportunity to pick the colours of front of the frame, the arms, the lenses and the casing with the additional customisable option of adding up to five characters on either the internal or external  side of each arm. The downside is that this great customisable facility is only available in certain countries so I advise heading over their website to check if the service is available where you are located.

Empire State Building | Under Construction

posted by on 04/07/2013

Fantasising about going to NY Looking for tickets for NY, I randomly came across an article on Buzz Feed with some pretty striking photographs of the Empire State Building while it was under construction over 80 years ago. It’s fascinating how structures like this are built, obviously Lewis Hine (who took these photographs) thought so too! The collection features scenes from the working lives of brave construction workers as they swung from beam to beam whilst slotting huge chunks of steel platforms into place. More after the break.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 04/07/2013

This week’s throwback track is taken from what was already Jay-Z‘s seventh album “The Blueprint 2: The Gift & the Curse“. It features Pharrell Williams- it was also produced by his people, The Neptunes. I’ve chosen “Excuse Me Miss” which was released in 2003, it’s still a banger. knowing that it was released 10 years ago makes me feel old as… enjoy after the break.

NYC: One Sec Shots

posted by on 03/07/2013

When this San Francisco-based videographer visited NYC in June, he took his Canon 7D everywhere capturing one second moments of his trip to later compile into this epic short film. All in 60 fps, the slow mo effect really works well as the video flows through. It’s incredible that all of it is done using one second clips, as always simplicity does the trick. Consistency too, great grading throughout the film. Watch after the cut.

Lookbook | adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott Autumn/Winter 2013

posted by on 03/07/2013

The ever polarising Jeremy Scott is back once again with his latest collaborative collection with adidas Originals. As ever the new collection consists of bold patterns, bright colours and a new crazy addition to the outlandish sneaker assortment he has previously produced. His designs are like marmite, you either love them or hate them and with this particular collection I actually love it. I may have to cop a few pieces and somehow rock them without looking overly crazy. I am very keen on the jumper you see in the above picture, that is a definite winner, peep some more of the collection after the cut.
