This Saturday 1st June I’ll be heading to the Southbank Centre to see some of the brightest young stars on London’s poetry scene sharing work about our city and their unique relationships with it in their interactive show as part of the London Literature Festival.

Bridget Minamore, Chimene Suleyman, Dean Atta, Deanna Rodger, Hollie McNish and Sabrina Mahfouz all have earned their stripes on the scene individually, and come together as a collective under the moniker Point Blank Poets.
Emotive, often funny, and always thought-provoking, the crew ensure their craft is ‘Poetry with Purpose.’ On Saturday, the poets will share their experience of London; drawing from their diverse heritage and taking on issues such as censorship, feminism, immigration and equality. Audiences will be able to engage in the conversation, and singer Josh Osho will also perform on the night.
Tickets are available for £8 (50% off for concessions). Head to the Southbank Centre website for more information.
