Definitely think this is a first, an Instagram biography. Wonderful crafted by Natalie Massanet, the founder of Net-A-Porter for Vogue’s Festival which took place yesterday. She decided to share her journey and important lessons that she learned along the way from Junior Editor to Founder and Executive chairman. She calls it the Bookagram/Instabook. Even if you’re not into fashion, it’s definitely an inspiring browse – her come up is insane. ‘WARNING! The following contains language that may be inspiring to some groups.’ Hop on after the cut.

Success was certainly not overnight. Nor was it a smooth road. People always ask me, “if you had to do it over again what would you change” and the answer is “nothing”. It may not have been clear at the time when things were small, or tough that we would get through it. But the way it happened turned out to be the perfect recipe for the Net-a-Porter Group. When I started pulling this presentation together I tried to find the moment when this journey started, and I realized I had to go all the way back to the beginning. And as it turns out the winding unexpected path I have been on as a person is also unique — and possibly more entertaining!
It all began wih my mom and my dad. Literally and figuratively. They gave me life, but they also shaped me into the person I am today through their values, their work, their world. As an only child I did what any good people pleaser does and I learned how to please both of them by absorbing their qualities in equal parts. Little did they know it, but THEY were the origin of NET-A-PORTER.
ART DIRECTION: This is a letter I found that I wrote to my Grandmother and GreatAunt in the US when I was about 7 years old. What I love about this is that I formatted the page with clear sections … Clear user experience!
