Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

The Ledge 2013 – Brand Watch

posted by on 26/03/2013

The Ledge trade show took place earlier this year and showcased a vast range of exciting sports and street wear brands, all of which can be checked out on the websites brand list. With cabaret, swing dancers, skateboarding competitions and more, the weekend was one to remember. Street wear isn’t necessarily our thing at Yin & Yang however a couple of brands caught my eye as a little different. Take a closer look for my favourite brands from the show.

The Instagram Engagement

So beautiful, I shared this short film on my social networks last week upon watching it. I fell in love with the north-west of USA after my trip to Seattle last summer. The calm and serene feel in surrounding the cities and the photography locations are what appeal to me. Carter of VSCO decided to take his other half Brooke on a spontaneous trip to Portland one morning, an adventure into the wilderness. Little did she know she was going to be proposed to, with the help of fellow Instragammers Brandon and ColinCarter documented the whole day with some stunning visuals into a short. I just love love. Watch after the cut.

Google Keep

Make note and lose them? make notes and don’t read them? Yep that’s me. Google Keep is here to save us all, it’s a brand new application, which is set to replace Google Reader, aimed housing all notes and lists a person chooses to make. Whats is even greater is that the app will transcribe recorded voice notes, thats a bonus for all us lazy people out there. Peep the short video explaining Google Keep and it’s functions after the cut.

We’ll Be Back

Yin&Yang We'll Be Back

So we’ve been hinting at something here and there for a while now. You may have noticed from the lack of original content as of late that we’ve been preparing for a change – all will be revealed in just over a month’s time. It’s definitely taking Y&Y in a slightly different direction to what it is now; quoting our resident wordsmith Tahirah - ‘We don’t just curate the cool, we create it’. That should give you a clear picture of what’s to come! When we started Y&Y 3 years ago Yang and I just wanted to talk about what we liked, little did we know that would be the cause of an issue over time. Covering EVERYTHING and anything makes it difficult to keep up to date with it all. Over the years we’ve refined, grown and tailored Y&Y into a more sleek offering rather than just talking about everything, you can certainly see our personal interests and life growth that has influenced it all. More on the reverse.
