Photography fanatics will like the news that Canon will introduce two new DSLR’s onto the market next month with one claiming to be the worlds smallest and lightest DSLR ever. The new offerings are set to join and expand their well established EOS range, please welcome the new Canon EOS 100D + the new Canon EOS 700D. Read on for more details.

The 100D is positioned to sit along side the Canon EOS 1100D, great for first time buyers. As previously alluded to the camera boasts to be the worlds smallest and lightest DSLR with measurements of 116.8 x 90.7 x 69.4mm and a weight of 407g, who can argue with them. The EOS 700D is more akin to the current 650D and will set you back £749.99 while the 100D will cost £699.99.
Both will feature a Scene Intelligent Auto mode which can detects what type of picture you’re taking and will suggest relevant settings to help produce pics with the best possible outcome. In addition Canon introduce a new feature called “enhanced creative modes” which will allow you to add Fish-eye and Miniature effects, as well as several other filters. This is sure to excited lovers of smartphone photo editing applications. An 18MP CMOS sensor and a Digic 5 image processor along with the ability to shoot 1080p Full HD video and a 7.7-inch touchscreen-enabled LCD for reviewing photos and videos will be included on both models.
