Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

The Memoto Lifelogging Camera

Memoto

Life is fully of memories. Memories that we think of from the past or memories that we are currently in the process of making never the less memories play a huge part in our lives. The trouble is that we create so many memories or have so many interactions throughout the day let alone the years that we can often forget about things. For a forgetful person like myself (think Dory from Finding Nemo) the Memoto Camera is a great way to capture memories on a daily basis taking away the need for me not to have a memory of a bloody fish.

EARGASMS Kerry Washington Django Unchained

Boom. Here’s the first Eargasms instalment of 2013 and it’s jam packed with a variety of different songs. It’s been a slow start to the year in terms of new music but we’ve picked out the very best from the fortnight. Yes that is Kerry Washington above, you’ll find out why she’s there on the reverse. What a beautiful human being.

Fuel Challenge | FuelStory - Yin

As part of the Fuel Challenge, I thought it’d be a good idea to document a day in our lives to see what we actually get up to and how many points we rack up. Obviously I’m sure both of us have been putting a bit more effort into walking up the stairs instead of taking the bus/stairs. The sad thing is, I’ve averaged a fairly decent amount for the past 4 days but I know for sure that today’s total will be less than 2000. Home day, family business to cater to. Sigh. More on the reverse.

Lookbook | Pierre Balmain Spring/Summer 2013

Pierre Balmian SS13

The introduction of the Pierre Balmain line has been such a great thing for the French label Balmain. The line is young, sleek, contemporary and most importantly stylish. Every time a lookbook is release showcasing the latest collection I always find myself drooling. The lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2013 Collection has recently been released and yes you’ve guessed it I’ve been drooling. This time though I have been gushing over the imagery as much as the collection. The styling, the location, the theme for the shoot draws me in. The collection was inspired by Jacques Demy’s 1963 film ‘La Baie des Anges‘ and the glamour of the French Riviera. What do you get from this collection, will you be buying? I personally love the navy blazer with red lapels.

Consistency Is Key

Ne-Yo Consistency is Key Music Is My Sport

So with us all just brushing the dust of 2012 off our shoulders, I think I’m not alone in saying that our timelines, inboxes and conversations have been filled to the brim with esoteric motivational quotes that seem to go hand in hand with unrealistic new year’s resolutions which together end up making a baby that simply gets named ‘failure’.

Throwback Thursday

Its that time of the week again and I’ve finally managed to claw my way back into the box seat and write this before any of the others could get their hands on it. Earlier on in the week I watched Gary Barlow & Friends on ITV, I found myself gaining a deeper appreciation for his song writing skills and songs from his old Take That days (as well as the new Take That stuff). While on Twitter, my name sake @iamdjb (follow him) put me onto a remix of an old Take That classic and I have had it on repeat ever since. So for all you Take That fans be prepared for a pleasant surprise and for all my west Indians out there and those who love a nice one drop remix then this is for you. Not sure what I mean? Head on over to the flipside and find out.

Yin vs Yang | Nike Fuel Challenge

Nike Fuel Challenge Yin vs Yang

Uh oh, there’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition to kick start the year. For years both of us have yearned to get fit and healthy, you know 6 packs and all but it’s never happened due to our excuses. The past few months have seen us become a little bit more fitness orientated and the good folks at Nike have given us a pair of FuelBands to see which one of us comes out on top. Bare in mind that both our jobs require us to be sat around a computer for most part of the day and outside of work, we run Y&Y. More time in front of the computer (I would say Mac but he uses Windows!), yay! for us. More on the reverse.
