Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Net-A-Porter – Print Magazine

posted by on 11/12/2012

Since 2000, net-a-porter.com has become something of the go-to for high fashion clothing. As the first luxury fashion site to hit the internet there was a real calling and demand for what the site had to offer and the new direction it gave online shoppers. Twelve years on and the reports all look stellar for net-a-porter yet they’re set to begin another project within the next twelve months. The site already offers a weekly digital magazine, which makes sense given their online appeal but they’re now looking to launch a print magazine. Admittedly, few people complain when a new magazine hits the shelves, but with a million high fashion magazines already on offer it begs the question, does net-a-porter really have something new to offer? We can only wait and see.

London Heat – Cardy Films | Short Film

posted by on 10/12/2012

Before I get started on the post, need to apologise for the lack of updates over the weekend. I’ve been focusing my attention elsewhere on potentially a life changing opportunity, pray for me. Ola-Olan combination, I don’t think I need to sing them any more praises – y’all already know how much I admire their work. The latest pilot was filmed for SBTV‘s ever expanding network YouTube channels is an urban drama that actually has depth. I promise you there’s no sign of Noel Clarke or Adam Deacon in this short, hallelujah. More on the reverse.

Rock Tea @ W London

posted by on 08/12/2012

Aside from fried chicken eating, my other favourite foodie past time is afternoon tea. How very English of me, right? There’s just something about scones, jam and cream combination that does it for me. W London have put their own spin on it by taking influence from the Rock ‘n’ Roll era to create a rather unique selection of treats for afternoon tea. We headed down there last week to check it out. If y’all haven’t seen/been to the W then you’re missing out – in terms of design, both interior and exterior – it’s one of the best in the city. Situated in the heart of Leicester Square, it’s a tough one to miss and even tougher one to get to on a weekend.

The Circle of Life – Yué Wu | Absolut Art-Stream

posted by on 07/12/2012

Do you ever meet someone who almost immediately impresses you?…well lately I’ve been lucky for that to be a weekly affair. Parisian artiste Yué Wu was recently in Berlin (incidentally where I met him back in April) in collaboration with MADE for Absolut Art-Stream. The trio have worked together to create this amazing artwork titled ‘The Circle of Life‘ which is comprised of an installation and an animation film that uses 60 white bottles, each of which was hand-drawn by the homie Yué.

StickNFind Bluetooth Trackable Device

posted by on 06/12/2012

StickNFind is a small nifty little gadget created by Jon Mitts that allows a user to keep track of a person, object, animal  within a 100ft range. The device is simply attached to the given object and is monitored via the use of it’s accompanying smartphone app. It’s an especially useful piece of tech for parents who would like to keep track of their kids whilst visiting the park as it can act as a virtual leash. This is just one example of what it could be used for but would you use it? Would it help to know that it also lights up and beeps so that it is easy to locate in the dark. It also sends a message to your phone should the person/object you are tracking breaks a distance that you have set. Peep the short video explaining its purpose.

Lincoln | Journey Advert

posted by on 06/12/2012

Car company ‘Lincoln’ deliver stunning visuals and thought-provoking story telling in their ad ‘Journey’. Visually, the advert is a montage of different aspects of a journey, the journey of life. The whole composition though simple, is very engaging and somehow cinematic .The clip comes stuffed with quotes that can be applied to our own lives, ‘don’t try to be all things to all people, but rather everything to a certain few’. I love the messages behind this ad, it’s hard to believe they’re trying to sell cars here.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 06/12/2012

I have nothing substantial or groundbreaking to say except that this song is a great tune. I love it and i’m sure you guys did and do too. This song was released around the time this man truly earned his status of the King of R&B. Read on to here a lil bit of music from none other than R Kelly.
