Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Cary Fukunaga's Sleepwalking In The Rift

2 minutes of mesmerising cinematography from American film director Cary Fukunaga (Jane Eyre, Victoria para chino & Kofi) for Maiyet, the fashion and accessory label with a penchant for craftsmanship. He’s helped translate the spirit of their Resort 2013 collection into a short but beautiful visual love story set on a Kenyan landscape. Hop on after the cut to watch it.

Dope Quote #55

With 2012 coming to a close, it’s only right that we naturally start reflecting back at what we’ve achieved in the past twelve months. I have no regrets whatsoever, it’s been a great year of growth in my career, relationships and passion projects. My goal for this year was to have discipline in all aspects of my life which I think I’ve certainly refined throughout the year but still a fair bit to go – can never perfect it. 2013 will be all about giving my everything – it’s time to take it up a notch seeing as I hit the quarter century in July. I have no one dependent on me financially, I don’t pay rent nor do I have a mortgage to pay off (yet) so why should I not put my everything into what I do? Time to work smarter and strive. Hop on after the cut to watch a performance from Miles Hodges and Carvens Lissaint.

The Striver's Row – Exchange London

The Striver's Row Exchange UK

Good Lord, time has flown by. Remember what we shot a year ago with Joshua Bennett and Olan Collardy? Well the talented folks from The Striver’s Row finally landed in the UK last week for their first ever international tour as a collective. I managed to catch them on their opening show on Saturday, t’was my first ever spoken word show and boy, was it worth the wait. Like my rap, I prefer our American counterparts efforts as opposed to our home grown talent – just down to my personal taste. I think it’s do with their accent and almost always excited mood in comparison to us – we’re much more moody and cynical haha. Hop on after the cut.

LEGO: The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

The Dark Knight Rises Trailer 3- IN LEGO

Why am I posting this so late? Ugh, no excuse. Alas, guess what I’m doing today? Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy marathon! first day of Christmas holidays and I’m completely geeking out with my younger cousins. The last time we did this I was for the LOTR trilogy, a good 5 or so years ago. This fan-made film replicates The Dark Knight Rises trailer with Lego – each and every frame is done exceptionally well. Bane is legit – his jacket even looks O.G. in Lego form. Watch on the reverse.

£40 Billion Floating London Airport

posted by on 22/12/2012

Floating Airport

Who’s up for a new airport in London? Yes I agree with you there is no space to house a full functioning airport since London is relatively small when compared to the amount of people that live/visit here. What is the solution then? Well engineering consultancy Beckett Rankine have come up with a brilliant yet costly answer to this problem. They have revealed a proposal for a £40 billion floating airport on the Thames estuary with the aim to take some of the stress away from London’s existing airports. The proposed floating airport would be a stone throw away taking just 40 minutes on the  underground from central London and theoretically should and would be able to operate 24-hours a day as there are no nearby homes who would be affected by the noise. Do you think this is a good idea?

Something Sentimental – Teaser Trailer | Cardy Films

Something Sentimental - Teaser Trailer

Rarely do I post a trailer, especially for a film that’s not a Hollywood blockbuster but this a masterpiece! it’s a more of a short short film than a trailer. It’s the latest body of work from London-based film makers Ola-Olan/Cardy Films. Taking more a Drake/emotional route from their last film which was London Heat, an urban drama – Something Sentimental asks the whether you wonder when a relationship is over, could you ever find another one like it? Personally I think you can, each relationship is different to the previous one – new experiences, learnings and love. All this post needs is a Drake quote, I’m looking forward to the full version of the movie. Hop on after the cut.

Mele E Pere Yin Eats Italian Soho

I haven’t done one of these in a very long time, it’ll be the last one for a while. We’ll be making a few changes to the content on the site over the next few months, you’ll see what I mean when everything comes into fruition. So I headed down to  Mele e Pere for a meeting last week, which ended up being more of a feast rather than a lunch when we got started. Throwback Thursday

posted by on 20/12/2012

I could have gone all festive this week and I was tempted to but I’ve resisted! I’ve chosen a song from 2001 by Alicia Keys for this week’s throwback track. With the buzz around her new album I started to listen to her old songs again, one of my favourites from her is ‘Rock wit U‘- a soulful smooth jazz track from her debut album ‘Songs in a Minor‘. Remember it? Personally this is Alicia Keys at her best, watch after the break.

The new Myspace is nearly here. We brought you the news that it was set for a major overhaul following the Justin Timberlake takeover and now it’s almost time to see the results of this change. The change sees it become a Facebook, Linkedin, Pintrest hybrid where creatives can connect, collaborate, share, and discover. Instead of clicking all over the web to stream a song here or watch a video there you’ll finally be able to listen to music, watch a social stream, watch videos, buy merchandise, purchase tickets and more, all in one place.
