Lose To Win

The return to the studio sees Fantasia bringing us new music in the form of her new single Lose To Win. Whats refreshing to hear is that fanny has taken a turn in direction and is bringing us a new sound from her that we haven’t heard before. We all know that she can sing the hell out of a ballad or slow jam but this is a funky lil mid tempo with a slight groove. It’s nothing spectacular but it’s nice to hear something new from her. Be on the look out for a new album in 2013, rumours are circulating that she is slated for a March release.

Not entirely sure when this track first surfaced online but the video just dropped earlier this week. I can’t say I’m the biggest Talib Kweli fan but this Boi-1da-produced track is smooth, teaming up with RLes for the first single from his forthcoming album. It’s about an outstanding girl in a mansion.

1 Train

DAMN. ASAP‘s album leaked last week, way ahead of its original release date of January 15th. I did have a few listens of his début cut; the production is exquisite and definitely helps drown out his lyrical inabilities. 1 Train is one of the best tracks on the album, a beast of a collabo tracks with 6 other rappers. It’s dope – Hit-Boy’s production always impresses, kick play. Here’s ASAP’s selection process:

“I said all of the young cats of my era, not none of the old hot n****as”

Uncolor Me

A refreshing song from the Texas born, London based singer/songwriter formally know as Lovita. Gusty vocals on a easy instrumental on a track about love & prejudice.
