A Bollywood musical set in the very heart of Stratford, Wah! Wah! Girls sets to dazzle as relationships are put to the test, paths are crossed and lives are changed. A larger than life production, Wah!Wah! Girls from the get go lit up the stage with its dynamic dance routines, music and drama.

The choreography was fantastic; showcasing various types of dance from Bollywood to Kathak and for me was definitely a strength of the show. Rina Fatania’s fantastic characterisation of the endearing and jovial Bindi added a sprinkle of comedy through out the piece literally making me as well as the rest of the audience continually laugh out loud. Collectively the cast worked fantastically together to transport the audience into a fun, vibrant, feel good world. For me however, I found that the narrative was quite rushed in the second half, and therefore I couldn’t really go on an emotional journey with the characters, as the character arcs weren’t built up strongly enough. I feel that there was such an effort to incorporate and interweave various story lines that the piece lost momentum. All in all I give Wah!Wah! Girls 3/5
