Boom! a friend of mine is putting on a three day arts and music micro-festival celebrating East London’s artistic heart and soul later on this month. One last celebration before the summer’s out for good, the East Ender festival is a homecoming celebration for all the area’s arty farty residents after travelling around festivals and gigs across the country and abroad. The talent on show during the three day period is pretty impressive, includes some of UK’s most influential acts including MF Doom, Norman Jay, Blak Twang and more. The real Doom will actually be there, my friend can vouch for that so don’t worry about another Livin’ Proof repeat. More on the reverse.

It’ll take place at Village Underground and Holywell Car Park where they’ll also be an open air art gallery which will provide an expressive space local arts and crafts folk to showcase their work on a variety of mediums. Dope! We’ll see you there from the 21st to 23rd.
