Yesterday was a great day but also a sad one. No more Olympics, Paralympics or an excuse for Olympic friendliness that has managed to make Londoners care about each other more than ever before! But, as cliche as it sounds, I do believe in the legacy of the Olympics and the inspiration that the medal successes will create for the next generation of sportsmen,women and paralympians. All of Team GB had an opportunity yesterday to say thank you to the unsung heroes of the games- supporters, volunteers, families, servicemen etc. It was overwhelming to see so many people in the streets of London shouting “Team GB, Team GB” and waving to us all on the floats.
