Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

posted by on 16/09/2012

If you like wool and have an affinity with wool from lambs the maybe this collection is for you. Topman have release stills from their Lambs Wool collection. I personally have nothing against wool and love a good wooly jumper however I love them on other people. For some reason wearing one just doesn’t sit right with me, maybe it’s because I’m not Topman size if you catch my drift. Anywho all you skinny bitches should love this so enjoy. *DJB skips off to go eat a salad :)*

Beats By Dre – Show Your Colour

posted by on 15/09/2012

First bought a pair of Beats just over 3 years ago after seeing Dr. Dre in them, never seen anything like them before. So bright, futuristic looking and fully complementing my overly bright ensemble back then. Then my style changed, white just wasn’t kickin‘ it any more and everyone else seemed to have a pair  thanks to phone companies handing it out for free with their contracts, alas I was fortunate enough to do a shoot for Nike and get gifted a custom ColorWare x England Rugby edition headphones. Three years on, the brand are at the top of the market – why? More on the reverse.

Twelfth Man – A Photography Project of London's Diverse Sporting Communities

posted by on 15/09/2012

I work next door to Exposure PR, one of London‘s biggest public relations agencies – in fact they occupy most of our street for a start so it’s not hard to miss their reception as I walk past everyday. That’s not just because one of the receptionists looks like Beyoncé, more to do with the artwork displayed in their Exposure Gallery space. It’s currently occupied by an great series of photographs and image diaries depicting different sports and players set against an urban backdrop of London. One of the best things about the Olympics has been the way this city has embraced sports in past few years and photographers Matt Cottis and Dylan Collard have done a great job of capturing people enjoying their sport. World's First Colour Film Footage

posted by on 14/09/2012

What has been described as ‘a breakthrough in cinema history‘, the world’s first coloured moving image has been unearthed by researchers over at the National Media Museum. The now ancient clip is said to have been shot by Edward Raymond Turner, it was discovered by the curator of cinematography at the museum: Michael Harvey and dates all the way back to 1902. The film was stored in a tin for over a century before it was discovered, one can only imagine how intricate the process of development was!  The film features marching soldiers as well as clips of Turner’s family… more info and the footage after the break.

London 2012 | Social Media Infographic

posted by on 14/09/2012

I am a sucker for an aesthetically pleasing infographic so this one delivered by the creative at labelmedia could not have been more appropriately timed. Especially as I am now openly admitting to be one of the many Londoners getting to grips with post-Olympic depression this week. After digesting social media stats from various sources, this resulting poster makes for interesting viewing. Of course Usain Bolt was the most talked about athlete on Facebook but you may be surprised to learn it was Tom Daley who gained the most Twitter followers of all the Team GB atheletes during the games with 1.2 million. Digest some more interesting stats by viewing the full infographic after the break.

Hermés – 'Time on your side' Autumn/Winter Campaign

posted by on 13/09/2012

Autumn’s coming! feel the breeze yesterday? Hello layering *sniggers*. 90% of readers are going to hate me but hey, start buying your winter clothes. First and foremost, I’m not a Hermés fan and no bag should cost that much. Does it give you super powers? Gosh. I don’t think I can justify spending that much on a bag, sorry future wife. However their lookbook for Autumn/Winter collection is ridiculous – the fusion of the red Autumn leaves with prints and styling works beautifully. Photographer Nathaniel Goldberg focuses on close-ups of Hermés clothing whilst subtly changing the background from Autumn to Winter. The lighting is magical, more on the reverse.
