Miki Takahashi – Two Sides of Personality

posted by on 20/09/2012

Japanese artist Miki Takahashi has created this stunning series of photographs portraying the many different sides of a person’s personality to the surface. She’s done this by super imposing 3 images on top of each other, one background and two foreground images of the model. The blending of the ghostly faces with the buildings, landscapes and flowers is so natural and makes you wonder about why the artist has chosen to reveal that particular background. It’s got that mysterious vibe to it, she leaves it open to us to decipher the mystery behind each image. Peep the series after the cut.

I do love this double exposure/super impose effect, recently downloaded an iPhone app to have a play with it on Instagram, will post results!

Here’s another set from her Behance that I just had to share, from the looks of her Behance profile picture – it does seem the woman featured above is herself. Self-portraits maybe?
