‘Beyond Mountains, More Mountains‘ is CANADA’s first short film; an epic Italian road-trip, shot over two weeks, traveling from the mountains of Northern Italy, down to the Sicilian Island of Stromboli in the far south of the country. Its rare to witness a Fashion brand extend its efforts to collaborate on a short film however 55DSL (the experimental line for Diesel Clothing) has joined forces with the award winning CANADA collective to produce a post-modern love story. The short follows a young couple who travel the length and breadth of Italy by car, motorbike, bus and on foot, the wardrobe for their adventure (unsurprisingly) styled from the 55DSL FW12 Collection.

The film is part of the ‘Kids In Italia’ project, giving artists the opportunity to showcase their unrestrained creative vision of 55DSL’s brand heritage: youth, freedom, fun and Italy. Stylistically the film mixes art and simulation, fiction and improvisation, real experiences and written dialogues, hazard and ellipsis – it is these juxtaposing elements that make it feel so intensely passionate and honest.

The film premièred at Milan Film Festival on Sept 19th 2012 and will be available on www.55DSL.com on the 24th.
