Usain Bolt vs. 116 years of Olympic Sprinters

After watching the 100m sprint, I wondered if eventually an athlete would clear the 100m sprint in 7 seconds or even less. That’s a crazy thought and I’m sure once upon a time when just short of 11secs was the world record, they would have thought 9 seconds was crazy. Then I saw this video on the New York Times website, it was created by Kevin Quealy and Graham Roberts- they pit current champion Usain Bolt against the last 116 years of Olympic sprinters. The short video outlines how the record for this race has changed over time, it also shows you where each Olympic medallist would be in a race with Usain based on their average speeds. Watch after the break.
