Plongée Clothing | 2012 Lookbook
posted by Yin on 25/08/2012
A new brand for y’all to get acquainted with, Plongée (pronounced Plong-ey!) officially launched in the UK on Thursday. The brand which was born in France and designed in Britain focuses on casual wear and basics, it’s visual identity is what really grabbed my attention at first – from the logos, art direction and even the post processing on the lookbook is perfect. The idea behind the brand stems from the designer’s holiday memories of sunny days, skinny-dipping, friends around a fire, postcards home and polaroids – you get the jist. The whole young, happy and carefree comes to mind. It’s all about casual for me right now, I know I was all about ‘grown man etiquette’ but when the weather is hot, layering is a myth. Invest in a good quality tee and get on with life. More on the reverse.

The début collection consists of t-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, rugby tops and sweatshirts, wearable during the day time activities and on a night out. I can vouch for the quality and it’s a great fit, slimmer than usual. Now I shall leave you with the lookbook, it’s without a doubt one of my favourites of the year; perfectly portraying what the brand is all about with the light and playful art direction. The photography is exquisite and the post-processing treatment with the light textures makes it extra appealing.
Plongée isn’t about trends it’s about timeless style for you and your friends all year round. Long live the good times, vive la Plongée.
