British Airways has launched the #HomeAdvantage campaign encouraging the nation to stay at home and support Team GB instead of going on holiday during the Olympics period *Cough Cough Yin*. Check out our visit to Earls Court to watch the Olympic Womens Volleyball Quarter-finals and details on how you can support #TeamGB & #HomeAdvantage after the cut…

Despite the appeal of sunbathing, beaches and pina coladas, it seems the UK population has taken BA’s advice with millions of people tuning in to cheer on Jessica Ennis, Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins etc. British Airways has now created the ‘Social Symphony‘, a unique tool that measures the mood of the nation by tracking social media usage related to Team GB.
Yesterday I discussed how the current Olympics Games is the glorious lovechild of Sports, Technology and Social Media…social symphony is a brilliant example. The music generated illustrates the number of tweets, posts and messages of support at any given moment, the more messages the louder the symphony.
As part of their #HomeAdvantage campaign, we were invited to the Olympic Women’s Volleyball Quarter-finals at Earls Court. We were privileged to witness USA vs Dominican Republic and Italy vs Republic of Korea. Fierce.
Join #TeamYinYang & British Airways in supporting #TeamGB. The more we tweet the louder the Social Symphony. Include #HomeAdvantage @TeamGB @British_Airways in your tweets to show your support
