Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

13th Witness – My Favourite Photographer

posted by on 02/07/2012

13th Witness was one of the main reasons that I picked up a camera three years ago; there’s just something so real about his photographs, grabs your attention in an instant and makes you say ‘wow’. That’s all I hope to achieve with my photography one day, well aside from completing my dream project of travelling the world and capturing different cultures’ fashion, food, music and lifestyle in images. If you don’t follow @13thwitness on Instagram then you’re slipping, his iPhone imagery puts most of my 5D photographs to shame. 3 years on, I’m still in awe of his work after all this time – hop on after the cut to see a few of his latest work.

Emirates Air Line Cable Cars Now Open!

posted by on 02/07/2012

You may remember I posted about this last year but the newly built cable cars connecting the O2 Arena and Royal Victoria Docks has finally been opened. Named the London Emirates Air Line, the 34 cabin cable car is able to transport 2500 people in each direction every hour. A one way trip will take approximately 5 minutes during peak times; during all other times, the journey will be slower to accommodate tourists etc… I may have my reservations about this structure but like I said last time, it looks pretty amazing- I’ll be taking my camera with me. Pricing and photos after the break.

Vivi in Stile With Peroni | LJ Coffee House

posted by on 02/07/2012

Australian coffee culture is slowly but surely making its way over here. I think people have finally started to realise that their money doesn’t have to go towards a sub-par coffee from Starbucks. We hit up LJ Coffee House London, a small venue in Soho for some Union-hand roasted coffee, all thanks to the handy Peroni Vivi in Stile app who have hand selected some of the cities best spots for our convenience. Tin: The joint does somewhat resemble someone else’s house. It just has that welcoming element, and is what one would expect from a traditional coffee house. We’re all so used to the same old Starbucks, Costa, Cafe Nero etc, but what makes this one special was all down to the personality it holds. From geeky Marvel canvases to a random variety of books dotted around, it’s just such a refreshing surrounding to be in.

Sunday Style Inspiration | Steve McQueen

posted by on 01/07/2012

I did say that I’d do this on a regular basis when I wrote this post a while or so ago but that never happened, obviously. Time to fix up, starting off with a quick post before I head out and when it comes to menswear style icons – there is no one better than Steve McQueen. Steve died over 30 years ago and he’s still embraced by the style world and widely recognised as one of the best dressed men to grace the planet. He’s one of the reasons several heritage brands continue to to stay popular, he provided many of the tipping point that they very much needed. Style for me is all about being effortlessly cool and being completely comfortable in whatever you wear, and he had that. More on the reverse.

It’s been 40 years since Adidas launched their 3 leaf logo (the Trefoil) and to celebrate, the worldwide sports brand launched a limited edition watch. The limited edition ‘Melbourne Gold Bracelet’ watch is a statement piece featuring a solid gold plated body and strap, a round oversized face and standard 3 hand dial with Trefoil branding imprint. It’s quite a formidable accessory to have on your wrist… The watch, of which only 500 pieces were produced, is reported to have sold out in under 30mins but you can find some on here.
