Instagram Meets Fashion Retailer

Free People is a contemporary womenswear fashion label that is owned by and used to be the former name of high street known Urban Outfitters. The brand have become one of, if not the first to integrate the use of Instagram with their online e-commerce site. They have assigned hashtags to a selection of their product range, customers who buy these products are then encouraged to take photos of themselves in the garments and post them on Instagram/Twitter using the dedicated hashtag. After screening uploaded pics, Free People then add them to the product page on their online store for customers to get a better look at the items they are about to purchase. They get to see them in action if you will. This whole experience is powered by Olapic and I think that its a great idea. I can see more brands using this and I hope they do!!
