A Conversation With Folaju

We sat down for a coffee with the London-based photographer. There’s even a 2 Chainz reference.

Filmed by Mad Tatter

Meet our comic book lovin’ film critic – Amon. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone more passionate for film than him and I think y’all will agree that each and everyone on his reviews has been ON POINT. Click play above and hop on after the cut to find out more about him. P.S. Amon – Dark Knight Rises > Avengers.

Your friend has just arrived in London from overseas, where would you..

Take them for dinner

HOME, because who doesn’t love a bit of home cooked food?! My signature dish of rice, chicken and plantain will have mouths watering haha!

If my friend was intent on dining out however, you can’t go wrong with Wagamamas. It’s a great place to eat and I definitely need to go more often, if only to master the chopsticks!

For a Drink

I really don’t drink that often, but when I do me and my work mates normally head to our local Yates’. The atmosphere is always vibrant, and the music is decent too…

Take them Shopping

There are not many shops you won’t find in Oxford Street. Without a doubt, it’s the best place to shop in London.

Take them for some GOOD music

I’d take them to one of my brother’s gigs! Biased I know, but he’s a great singer. Check out the link, you can thank me later! – www.youtube.com/isinglondon

What do you bring to the Y&Y family?

I like to think I bring an honest, well-written, and most importantly fair perspective on the latest films coming out in cinemas, as well as the occasional critique of a classic!

Dream Job?

I would love to be the Editor-in-Chief of a popular film magazine one day. Right now though, I’ll happily settle for a job at Empire Mag haha!

If you ever left London, where would you go?

Ooh, tough question! There are so many places that come to mind – Miami, New York and Spain to name a few – but I’d love to at least visit Hollywood at some point. I’ve heard so many great things about it, and it’s of course synonymous with films. Plus there is the not so small matter of consistently beautiful weather…
