Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Wandering Around Little Venice

posted by on 11/06/2012

It’s not quite the same as Venice in Italy but glorious in it’s own way. Many of you have probably chilled around the dutty Camden lock area on a hot summer’s day, if you’re looking for somewhere emo/drug-free then Little Venice is your spot. I headed down there with the lady in my life (always wanted to drop that MJ lyric, swiss cheese) yesterday to photograph a new feature. It’s such a peaceful area consisting of MTV cribs worthy houses, quirky little boats and cafes on boats. After conducting research, a one bedroom apartment in this area costs around £600,000 so um, that will require a mortgage of £200,000. Who’d like to sponsor a brown dude trying to make it out the ghetto of Newham? Sponsor a brother. I’ll photograph your wedding and your future kid’s weddings for free. Hop on after the cut.

We ended up here by accident actually; we were originally looking for the Eagle Bar/Diner but it turns hey are no more! *cries* where-else will I find a Whiskey milkshake!? Well definitely not here, settled for a Jasmine tea instead. East-Street is a restaurant of Pan-Asian cuisine on Rathbone Place just off Oxford Street; the restaurant endeavours to offer authentic dishes from the likes of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan and Korea.

One of my favourite areas of London, especially in the ‘summer’ has to be Southbank. It’s so rich in culture, definitely the area which celebrates London’s diversity with many markets and pop-ups along the riverside and by the Royal Festival Hall. Last week, I ventured down there to watch Prometheus at the BFI (Good film, not amazing – read Amon’s review) and ended up walking around the riverside for hours. So much to take in, so much inspiration and food to eat of course. More on the reverse.

Short Film | Jalil Peraza's Beauty Trapped In The Dark

posted by on 09/06/2012

I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of this video is but there is something so enticing about these Simon Davis directed visuals. Jalil Pereza is the brains behind the short film and from doing a quick interweb stalk on his portfolio site – I reckon this clip is a promotional material for his upcoming clothing range. I’m seriously digging the cross tee – ideal for Church haha and the stars & stripes sleeves to solidify my future green card application. Scrap all that, he’s a fashion designer and all round creative who’s part of Ye’s Rosewood clique from the looks of it – click here. Damn! I’m definitely impressed by the simplicity and boldness of his designs, need to purchase before everyone gets their hands on it. More on the reverse.

Marks & Spencer Saville Row Inspired Collection | A/W 2012

posted by on 09/06/2012

Who knew? I’ve always liked M&S quality but never the cuts. Perfect for my Dad who wears a few sizes bigger to cover up his belly. Me on the other hand, I much prefer nicely cut, well-fitted suits. With the David Gandy, Ryan Reynolds and Rosie Huntington-Whitley featured in the last campaign, it was clearly evident the British retailer are slowly shifting their brand positioning and audience. This new collection features tailored garments from designer Richard James, the Saville Row inspired collection features suits, shirts, ties and all made from UK-manufactured cloth with details such as working cuff buttons. The lookbook is definitely impressive, especially liking the outdoors shots – styled by GQ’s style director Luke Day. He’s the guy responsible for Gary Barlow’s styling, know you understand why the Take That lead singer is on point all the time.

Meanwhile…Across The Pond

posted by on 08/06/2012

I was raised in a relatively small village in north-east Japan and apart from London…I am what you would refer to as a unseasoned traveler. Stepping off the ‘not so express’ bus from JFK airport to Grand Central station was overwhelming. Skyscrapers, Yellow Taxis, Hot Dog Stands. Welcome To America. Check out my images from the Big Apple after the cut.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 Official Trailer

posted by on 08/06/2012

The football season has come to an end but that doesn’t dampen the excitement and anticipation for the new season. You know a new season is round the corner when trailers for the latest football games start getting released. Here we have the first Official trailer for PES 2013. In recent years PES has lost it’s status as the #1 football simulator to its long term rival FIFA. This long standing battle to be seen as the best football game conjures up a lot of debate much like football itself does. Banter between PES users and FIFA users is always fun to watch, admittedly I have found myself move away from PES and become an avid FIFA player. Something I would have never imagined 3 or 4 years ago as back then I hated FIFA with a passion. Anywho peep the trailer after the cut. Will it entice, excite and persuade you to buy into what PES is offering? More information can be found over at the official site.
