Grind London: 'Hot Like Toast' SS12 Collection
posted by Guest on 12/06/2012
Over the past month, ‘Grind London’ have teased their Facebook fans and online audience with snippets of their forthcoming summer collection named, ‘Hot Like Toast’. Consisting of button down shirts, Paisley and Floral prints and screen printed T-shirts featuring tongue-in-cheek slogans and imagery…if the name of the collection didn’t give it away – the ‘Hot Like Toast’ series is certainly British. The materials used in the construction of the shirts and shorts in the collection are made and sourced in Japan, and the brand have focused their core efforts on producing a range that tick all of their boxes “as consumers, designers and a brand”. “Drawing inspiration from the notoriously erratic climate during this time of year, the collection consists of button down shirts, short sleeve shirts, shorts, and printed tees.”
The long sleeve shirts include a lightweight Japanese denim shirt, a white/ blue stripe cotton shirt with tan wooden buttons, and a buttoned down collar mini daisy pattern navy shirt (inspired by the classic mod polka-dot shirt).
The elastic waist Japanese denim shorts with adjustable buckles have been made in 3 different colours.
Completing the Summer collection are 5 screen print designs on varying white and grey soft cotton tees / pocket tees.
