‘A History of The Title Sequence’ is project created by Jurjen Versteeg a Dutch designer. The short film was submitted as his 2011 graduation project and went on to win an award at the Vimeo Awards this year in the ‘Motion graphics’ category. The short film briefs the viewer on the history of title sequences by cleverly incorporating the names of designers who revolutionized this element of film. Each of these designers names are spruced up with characteristics from famous titles they designed. I have a thing for motion graphics so I was bound to like this anyway… but it is a very cool concept that’s been perfectly executed!
