Google have revealed details of its research into augmented reality glasses. I don’t actually know how to describe whats going on in this video that you are about to see, i’ve literally sat here writing and re-writing this post. I decided that I didn’t know how to fully put into words what I was thinking so instead i’m just going to let you watch this video and assume that you will have the same reaction as me. All that comes to mind having seen the video is WOW imagine if life was really like that, imagine if technology was advance enough to do that, I want that, I gotta have that. If these thoughts run through your mind post viewing then holla at me and let me know, surely I can’t be the only one amazed. If Google manage to some how make this possible, I want to be alive when it happens.
Honestly I wasn’t really prepared to do this post. I claimed it but didn’t have a song in mind so I proceeded to ask my housemates what song they thought I should bring back to your attention, however all the songs that they mentioned we have already featured on Throwback. So naturally I cut them off with a swiftness and told them to stop suggesting ish to me. Having racked my brain I finally settled on this little gem from the great Coldplay. ‘Fix You’ simply put is a stunning song, I love when they perform it live it gives me goosebumps. Unfortunately the studio version doesn’t quite incite this same emotion however it is still pretty damn good. Read on for you Coldplay Throwback. Until next week snitches!
How many of you made a conscious decision to exercise more this year? Running it seems has never been so popular. I recently challenged myself to run (jog) a mile a day to get my lazy ass into the routine of it. If at the end of a week I’ve managed to run seven miles, that’s seven miles more than usual! Baby steps!

Directed by Sebastian Thiel for Upshot TV, and featuring familiar names such as Sway and Shystie amongst a cast of talented new faces, Illegal Activity is a beautifully shot and thought-provoking short. Set in a housing estate in London, audiences see how the ‘Illegal Activity’ on the block effects the lives of many in the area.
Whether you love them or not there is something enduring about fairy tales, those timeless short stories that are told and retold from generation to generation. Few come more famous than Snow White, who has a big year ahead of her. In June, audiences will see her remade into a warrior princess for Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman. Before that however, director Tarsem Singh (Immortals) gets first bite of the apple in Mirror Mirror, perhaps the more traditional retelling of the two but not without its share of twists.

The use of social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter and media sharing sites such as YouTube and Tumblr have certainly revolutionised the way news and information has been reported and shared within the last couple of years. Events from the London riots of last summer and Arab Spring through to the strategic use of YouTube by the charity Invisible Children to publicise their ‘Stop Kony 2012’ campaign this year have shown just how powerful such sites are becoming. We are now in an era where news is able to spread throughout not only the United Kingdom but the World within just seconds – a fact that has revolutionised the way we communicate not only news but our thoughts and feelings, websites such as Tumblr being a prime example.

Sat in a half empty American Airlines plane, listening to Gospel and praying that I’ll make it back to London safely. It’s the end of the beginning. The past 10 days in New York have been nothing short of amazing. Staying in Brooklyn was perhaps the best decision of the whole trip – it helped us embrace the culture and gaze the Manhattan madness from a distance. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the trip when we departed London, the last trip to NYC was amazing but completely touristy. We didn’t even touch BK – the whole ‘OMG it’s so hood and I may come home in a coffin’ thang but it was the complete opposite. Yes, you’ll see the thugged out hoodie-wearing folks but I see that in East London on a regular! More on the reverse.
