Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Chloe Jade Green Shoes

posted by on 22/04/2012

Girls if your shoe game isn’t up to scratch then you better get your act together. My pet peeve is a girl who wears shit shoes, it just gets on my nerves especially if her outfit is on point. Chloe Jade Green, of Made In Chelsea fame, isn’t resting on the fact that her father is one rich and hugely successful man (for those that don’t know he is the owner of Top Shop, Mr Philip Green). She has commendable stepped out of his shadow and focused her attention on her upcoming shoe line CJG. The line is set to be released to the world on May 17th but I wanted to give y’all a very limited preview and get y’all anticipating the collection. What looks to be a nice additional touch the soles of the shoes appear to be a shade of Jade/Green reminiscent of the red sole found on Christian Louboutin shoes, a clever idea to tie in the identity of the shoe with her name. Unlike like Louboutin’s the CJG collection will be much more affordable ranging from £80 – £200. Peep the very few pics after the cut and stay tuned for more info soon.

Booyah! if you’re a lover of mango desserts and an artist then this is for you. Our good friends over at MADD, the UK’s first mango dessert bar in Soho have launched a new competition to find ‘The MADD Artist of the Year’.  All you have to do is design a doodle/painting/anything onto a MADD ‘Blank Canvas’ postcard which have been available at the restaurant from last week. What do you win? You’ll be commissioned to design a number of walls/window vinyls for MADD based on your design as well as a YEARS’S WORTH OF MADD TREATS. It’s a great way to promote your work, the joint is pretty much at the heart of London’s design and marketing agency hub. Location wise that is, more information on the reverse.

Film Review | Avengers Assemble

posted by on 21/04/2012

“And there came a day unlike any other…” This opening line to the Avengers comic books was also spoken by Samuel L. Jackson when the cast of the Avengers was first unveiled at Comic-Con almost two years ago. Marvel’s ambitious superhero team-up has been four years in the making and has spanned five films, but now it’s finally upon us. Make no mistake about it; Avengers Assemble marks an unprecedented event. Just like the team itself, there are so many reasons why it should not work. And yet, director Joss Whedon & co have managed to surpass all the lofty expectations and deliver not only one of the greatest superhero films ever made, but one of the best blockbusters in recent memory.

posted by on 21/04/2012

Going abroad is meant to be an exciting thing. I remember as a child not being able to sleep the day before going away, I’d irritate the hell out of my mum to the point where she’d threaten me if I didn’t go to bed lol. As you may or may not know I recently took a trip to Portugal for some Y&Y related goodness which you will see soon. This post however is about my personal experience getting to and my stay in Portugal.

Avengers Assemble – Target Campaign

posted by on 20/04/2012

‘Because if we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we’ll avenge it!’. Damn right! what a movie, watched it a few hours ago with our resident film critic, Amon. He’s already seen it twice and the films not out for another week! that’s how you know it’s worth the wait. W+K produced this incredible design for the gate fold insertion in Entertainment Weekly for retailer Target. Using a plethora of everyday objects that you could find in your local Target (A stateside Tesco equivalent) including action figures, batteries, drinks and more. The attention to detail is mind-boggling, great creative direction from Guy Seese. See the rest of the set on the reverse.

farfetch.com – Earth Terminal | Fashion Film

posted by on 19/04/2012

I have no idea who S.C.U.M. are, apparently they’re worshiped in the Shoreditch‘s fashionable hipster/music scene. Don’t really care much for that, I’m just digging the visuals here by the creative folks over at farfetch.com. This fashion editorial featuring the up and coming band talking everything from music,  to their personal style and how they weren’t accepted in their town for dressing like druids. The cutaways, colours, locations, bokeh shots = drool, although the fashion/style isn’t really my thing, it works so well in this video. What do you guys think?
