Introducing Google Drive

posted by on 25/04/2012

Google are hoping to deepen our dependance on the giant company with the introduction of their latest service Google Drive. Similar to Dropbox and the idea behind Apple‘s iCloud Google Drive will allow users to store and share their documents. 5GB of storage space will be provided for free with the opportunity to increase this at a cost, 25GB will cost $2.49 a month and it will be $49.99 for 1TB.  The service will initially available compatible on Windows-based computers, Mac computers, laptops running on Google’s Chrome operating system and smartphones powered by Google’s Android operating system. Within the next few weeks a version compatible with Apple’s iPhone and iPad will become available. For more info peep the short video produced by Google explaining the service and it’s capabilities.

Clarks Originals A/W 2012 Preview

posted by on 25/04/2012

What a collection, wow. So complete! Clarks have completely transformed their image in the past 5-10 years and this new Autumn/Winter range is everything and more. Unfortunately missed out on the Clarks press day which was held at the disused Aldwych Station due to work but the lovely people over at Yellow Door sent over a few pairs from the collection earlier yesterday. I wasn’t expecting so many to show up at my office, at least one of each type of silhouette. Hop on after the cut for a full preview of the upcoming collection. It’s worth it.

Fast Girls Film Trailer | Noel Clarke

posted by on 24/04/2012

I think I know what you’re thinking… and I think you’re wrong! Kidulthood and Adulthood were both good but I don’t think I could stomach another one of those films! So thank God this time Noel Clarke has been busy working on something completely different and judging by the trailer, it looks pretty decent. Fast Girls follows 4 young female athletes as they fight to win gold in the Women’s 4x100m Relay race. Ok my first thought after seeing the trailer was ‘so that’s the whole film then!?’ whoever was responsible for this portion of the promo just gave the ENTIRE plot away… trailers are supposed to tease NOT summarise. That aside, it looks like a great film that is well shot and well cast- just in time too for the 2012 Olympics eh! Watch the trailer after the break.

Addict X Marvel Avengers Assemble Mural

posted by on 24/04/2012

As far as campaigns go, the promo for the new Marvel film: Avengers Assemble, has been really strong. Last week, Marvel teamed up with clothing company Addict to create a street art mural on Old Street to coincide with the coming release of the film. Responsible for the substantial job was artist and illustrator Alex Young, who drew two characters per day until completion two days ago (Saturday 21st). The whole process was recorded through a live stream and is available for you to watch now; it’s definitely worth looking at the photos after the break as Alex did an amazing job. Marvel are not playing with the promo this time round, there are teasers everywhere, not to mention the trailers!

While The World Sleeps | Rishi Kaneria

posted by on 23/04/2012

I posted this Rishi‘s work a long while ago, an impressive short piece featuring Dante Ha (stunt man)- refresh your memory here. Looking through his videos again today, I spotted one of his more recent projects ‘While The World Sleeps‘. As an Indian himself, Rishi takes the viewer on a  2 minute journey through his B. I love how the piece manages to capture the beauty of the country whilst prompting the viewer to reflect… not to mention the added class of using black and white. Watch after the break.
