Introducing Google Drive

posted by on 25/04/2012

Google are hoping to deepen our dependance on the giant company with the introduction of their latest service Google Drive. Similar to Dropbox and the idea behind Apple‘s iCloud Google Drive will allow users to store and share their documents. 5GB of storage space will be provided for free with the opportunity to increase this at a cost, 25GB will cost $2.49 a month and it will be $49.99 for 1TB.  The service will initially available compatible on Windows-based computers, Mac computers, laptops running on Google’s Chrome operating system and smartphones powered by Google’s Android operating system. Within the next few weeks a version compatible with Apple’s iPhone and iPad will become available. For more info peep the short video produced by Google explaining the service and it’s capabilities.
