Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Zara Man: March 2012 Lookbook

posted by on 22/02/2012

You have to hand it to Zara; when it comes to lookbooks, they’re always on point. Topman can learn a thing or two from them – just look at their rival’s recent lookbooks, click here and here. Now in comparison, the clothing and lookbook are so much more simple. That’s what menswear is to me, complex simplicity. Let the silhouettes, fabrics and cuts do the talking. Not the legs of the MALE MODEL, ey Topman? Allow the pum pum shorts for men. Zara have gone down the more sartorial route with casual and smart-casual looks. Definitely a lot more preppy than casual though, more on the reverse.

Safe House Q&A With Denzel Washington And Daniel Espinosa

posted by on 22/02/2012

It’s 4:15 pm and I’m sat in the plush Mandarin Oriental hotel in London eagerly awaiting the arrival of Daniel Espinosa and Denzel Washington, director and star of this month’s Safe House (Check out our review here). There is only one problem; they’re late. Five minutes turns into ten and then to twenty, but when Denzel walks in he’s instantly at ease, joking with us as he gets rushed to the podium. It’s simply hard to be irritated at a guy who’s so effortlessly cool. Once the two D’s got comfortable, chatter began on their new film, as well as Denzel’s career choices and whether or not he still ‘dates his wife’. Find out the answers to this and more after the jump.

Yin Eats: Tossed

posted by on 21/02/2012

salad *immature laughter* gets me every time! Yin Eats is back, went on a bit of a slump in recent weeks with countless number of Pret baguettes being bought. The lazy option. I ended up going to a healthy eating spot Tossed today, on that healthy hype – sort of. Yang recommended this place to me a few months back, so finally decided to check out what was so special about it. I’d always walk past it, put off by the name haha. Ended up getting the Yin salad, fully customised by one self. Sort of sounds wrong and no they didn’t toss it for me o_O More on the reverse.

Maharishi Spring/Summer Lookbook 2012

posted by on 21/02/2012

This time around, Maharishi have added a little bit more colour to their spring collection. The British based label have pushed the boat out a considerable with the earth tones since last spring the line comprised only of khaki and white pieces. Here they’ve gone for the warmer end of that spectrum with more attractive shades of red, orange and brown. The line isn’t particularly ground-breaking, but with the lightweight fabrics and the jumper featured in the third photo down (that I want), Maharishi are in keeping with the season. Photos after the break.

Marni For H&M Lookbook

posted by on 20/02/2012

Unfortunately for Marni it was always going to be hard for any brand to follow the huge success of the H&M and Versace collaboration. Although well publicised this new collaboration just hasn’t got the same enthusiasm and buzz surrounding it’s impending release however for us who live and work in the blogosphere it is still pretty news worthy. Hardly overloaded with pieces that scream BUY ME NOW the collection is a toned down and subdued contrast to its Versace predecessor. Peep the lookbook when you read on.

One Mo Mile – Running With Mo Farah

posted by on 20/02/2012

What do you do when you have the opportunity to trade in your penciled ten miler for a 5k with Mo Farah? You run with the wind in your face and dust at your feet, that’s what! So that’s exactly what I did. Having won a competition to run, have breakfast and have a Q&A with the running demi God himself, I found myself on the Piccadilly line, Arsenal bound to one of the most memorable Sunday mornings of my life.

Music Video | Brewer – Behind Your Smile

posted by on 20/02/2012

I’m exactly a week late with this, I blame my sickness and the laziness caused by it. Better late than never, right? Olan debuted his latest motion picture, another masterpiece for up and coming rapper Brewer. This one isn’t as fancy as the Question’s video and it doesn’t need to be. Sometimes less is more and honestly with a location like this, you didn’t need extensive colour grading and cutaways. Though I do love the increased clarity! adds a crispy finish to the video.  The story behind the Olan’s filming process is pretty funny, hop on after the cut for the video and more.
