Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Lenny Kravitz 'Sunflower' & 'Push' Music Videos

posted by on 06/12/2011

Lenny Kravitz released two music videos earlier this week: Push and Sunflower, both lifted from his latest album ‘Black and White America’. The intimate video for ‘Push’ looks a little bit like an ‘a day in the life’ style documentary; it’s a very simple video but with great artistic direction, it also really supports the track’s mellow vibe and meaningful  lyrics. Filmed in black and white, the visual sees Lenny embark on his ‘Black and White America Tour’ with footage from his performances on stage and behind the scenes.  More after the break.

Topman Leather Gifts Range 2011

posted by on 06/12/2011

Topman’s ‘leather gifts’ range is now available for purchase on the online store, a selection of useful everyday leather accessories such as gloves, document holders and even tablet covers.  I’m not entirely sure about the quality of the leather just because leather products I’ve bought from Topman in the past haven’t been the best so it’s best to check these out in the store. Having said that, with price points ranging between £5 and £30, it’s an affordable selection of accessories that serve as great gifts, ladies for your man friends. Personal preferece…the document holder. Check out the range after the cut.

Dope Quote #29

posted by on 05/12/2011

Um, you’ll be surprised by who this quote is from. He goes by the name of Chris Brown – yep, the infamous R&B singer. Surprising huh? I couldn’t agree anymore with this quote. I’m all work-work-work most of the time, I love what I do so its fun but at the same time when 75% of your time revolves around work then there’s an issue. Last weekend was one of my favourites of the year, I spent a lot of it with my other half wandering the streets of London, shopping, cinemas  eating, etc. Not everything in life is necessarily enjoyable, but I think we all need to learn to have more fun in our lives. It’s good to take a break and enjoy the little things in life. Life is about living, not just about working towards your dream all day, everyday. Live a little.

Original Penguin – The Outfit

posted by on 05/12/2011

We were approached by the good folk at Penguin to come down to their store, pick out an outfit and do what we do; shoot it for the site. In all honesty, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the brand’s collection, all I had my eye on before arriving at the store was the Clondyke boot that I feature a few weeks ago. I headed to the store in hidden away in one of the corner’s of the Piazza, Covent Garden. I was pleasantly surprised by the range on offer inside, a beautifully curated collection of polos, jumpers, gillets, footwear and more.

All Saints Winter Range 2011

posted by on 04/12/2011

All Saints push their winter range with a series of looks from the Winter Collection perfect for the ‘modern man‘. I like how refined this collection is, it appears the brand have dropped the drapes and gone for a smarter look this winter. Teaming blazers and shirts with knitwear and coats, elements of this shoot are really similar to Zara’s styling. All Saints have been very slowly but surely heading this direction over the last few seasons,  let’s hope it continues. Have a peep at the range and also head over to the All Saints website to see/purchase the full range.

posted by on 04/12/2011

VOYR is our all access pass into the behind the scenes happening at Kanye and his big brother, Jay-Z‘s Watch The Throne tour. The daily video series will give us an insight into the hard work that goes into living life as Kanye West. Yes, they still work even after earning millions. Ye drops a plethora of quotables in this short first episode: ‘It’s a pursuit and responsibility. If people have done things before, you should be able to surpass them. I’m on a pursuit of awesomeness, excellence is the bare minimum’. BOOM. Inspiring, watch it on the reverse! Right off to bed I go..

Adidas | The Game Is The Game – Road Tennis

posted by on 04/12/2011

Before starting university I was a full time tennis professional. Tennis was my life entirely until I was seventeen. It seems a lifetime ago now! So I guess it was no surprise when Niran asked me to write up on this video from Adidas! The event – which was filmed to promote the release of the new adiPower Barricade 7.0 tennis shoe – marks the start of a year long campaign by Adidas called “The Game is the Game“, which will challenge some of the world’s best tennis players at a series of tennis based games around some of the major tournaments of 2012. Check out the video after the cut!

Grandma's Guide To Social Media

posted by on 03/12/2011

I love my Grandma, real talk *cue girls simultaneously making aww sounds*. She’s looked after me throughout most of my younger years as my parents both worked full-time jobs. Till this day, she’s the most understanding out of my family – she even approves of my tattoo! Imagine in 50 years time when we’re all grandparents, what rules would we set? I’d imagine they would be a hella different to our parents. Meet Chacho Puebia – a Spanish designer working for Leo Burnett who has found himself giving the same kind of sermons to his children. So he’s decided to conjure a few tips that his gran should have given him to prepare himself for the social media world baptism. More on the reverse.

Invisible Speaker by People People

posted by on 02/12/2011

I have this vision that when I get my own place that I will decorate it to look ridiculously modern and stylish and this new Invisible Speaker from People People is something that fits nicely in my modern vision. The speaker is also a great way to save space as it hangs on the wall. Looking more like a picture than an actually speaker its safe to say that I have been won over. The speaker box is transparent with the main speaker components clearly defined. The clever, stylish design does not affect the sound thankfully. The speaker features a small WiFi antenna that can plug into any computer, music player or smartphone out there. Does the invisible speaker arouse your decorative senses, will you be buying?
