Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

It’s also flown by super fast, I can still remember January like it was yesterday. How on earth is it almost 2012? Isn’t the world meant to end soon? Flickr has complied the highlights of the year using iconic LEGO bricks. Hop on after the cut to refresh your mind with all the happenings around the world in twenty eleven. Versace for H&M | Cruise Collection Preview

posted by on 18/12/2011

Very late with this post! This collection arrived in my inbox on Friday but you know, I just couldn’t be arsed to conjure up a post before the Christmas party started at work. One of those long weeks where you just want to CHILL. So within a month of releasing the first Versace for H&M collection, the pair are back at it with the first drop of the men’s Spring/Summer collections. If I’m honest, I was never really a fan of the A/W range, way too colourful and in your face for my liking. Most of the collection was whack with the exception of the Baitsville bomber jacket. This cruise collection comprised of 18 items, feature a more subdued range of classic Versace products including blazer, cardigan, speedos (?), Hugh Hefner robe, a tote and a few shirts. I’ve got my eyes on the bag pictured above! more on the reverse.

Bei Maejor Makes A Beat Out Of Christmas

posted by on 18/12/2011

I don’t know if you guys know it yet but Christmas is upon us lol and while many of our favourite singers are putting out either a Christmas album or Christmas song Bei Maejor done something a little different. The talented up and coming producer/singer/songwriter gave his fans a treat in the form of beat making, however as we have come to expect this is no ordinary beat making from Bei. He makes a beat from all things to do with Xmas. Check out the video to see exactly what I mean. Pretty Dope!

So we decided to take a break last week. Why? Well I guess the only excuse we have for you is the preparation of the new site. Most of our time went into getting that sorted out for the launch so everything went smoothly. However we’re back with bunch of new songs for your ears, hand picked by DJB and me.

ASOS Lucky Sale

posted by on 17/12/2011

THE SALE IS COMING. Done your Christmas shopping? If not, this is perfect. The sale starts tomorrow and you can get in first through the retailer’s Facebook page. ASOS who came out on top in the latest Social Media Benchmark from eDigitalResearch have unleashed their latest sale app with the help IU-HQ. The Facebook app gamifies the ASOS Sale; fans are given the chance to play a handful of games to win points and improve their position in the queue for access to the sale. This time around, the games are a hell of a lot more addictive – trust me the whole office was playing the ‘Play Your Clothes Right’ game on Thursday. More on the reverse.

Film Review | Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

posted by on 16/12/2011

Since his birth in 1887, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes has been re-imagined several times in various forms of media. In recent times, the eccentric detective has been portrayed brilliantly by Benedict Cumberbatch in BBC’s hit TV series Sherlock. However, the definitive version of this generation may perhaps be Robert Downey Jr’s personification of the titular character in 2009’s Sherlock Holmes. That film ended tantalisingly too, with the introduction of Holmes’ greatest foe seemingly imminent. Director Guy Ritchie has teamed up with Downey once again for the follow up, A Game of Shadows. Does Holmes 2.0 improve on the ’09 hit? Check out my spoiler-free review after the cut.

Soft Guerilla by Kyle Bean

posted by on 16/12/2011

Kyle Bean is a British designer, he specialises in what is in my opinion the most fascinating of all the creative gifts: hand crafting. The ability to actually make something from scratch with your bare hands seems like a pretty standard thing but when you see the things people create, you realise how talented they are. These images are from Kyle’s latest project ‘Soft Guerilla‘ which consists of a series of weapons formed intricately with alternate materials . Photographed by Sam Hofman, these were put together for a feature article in Cut Magazine about Guerilla Gardening. Check the clever images after the break.

Cynikal – Losing My Balance | Music Video

posted by on 16/12/2011

London-based rapper, Cynikal drops the visuals for his latest track ‘Losing My Balance‘. He takes on J. Cole’s instrumental off light skinned Jermaine’s classic mixtape ‘Warm Up’. It’s one of those tracks for me, no one can really do the beat justice the way he does. Cole’s switches it up with a smooth flow that just works with sample. Cynikal does a good job though! PHDLDN kill the visuals, love colour grading and the slowmo feel to it.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance | Film Trailer

posted by on 16/12/2011

2007’s Ghost Rider made over $228 million worldwide, but many critics and fans alike disliked the movie. Although the special effects were fantastic for the most part, the poor acting and script really hurt the film. The sequel, which sees Nicolas Cage reprise his role as the cursed anti-hero, has been steadily gaining buzz over the past few months. The first trailer was unveiled back in August, and a new trailer has just surfaced online today. Check it out after the jump.

Topman 2012 Spring/Summer Collection Lookbook

posted by on 16/12/2011

Not To Be Rude! but what is this? I’ll tell you what it is, this is the lookbook for the upcoming 2012 Spring/Summer Collection from Topman. As you may have sensed already i’m not a fan! I don’t get where Topman are going with collection or where they have drawn their inspiration from but they need to give it back. I think i’d rather walk around naked to be honest. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse my eyes stumble across a look that can only be described as an impersonation of Aladdin (see here). Normally I like a few bits from Topman collections but with this there just aren’t enough saving graces, the only thing I could see myself wearing is the Black Jacket with the red faux leather sleeves. I’m gonna stop attacking now and let you see for yourselves the hideous ensembles.
