It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

posted by on 14/11/2011

Sorry, I’m a little late with this. My mac has issues so spent the morning trying to fix it and get Dope Quotes done, whilst watching the show myself. This was one of the most believable episodes, I won’t spoil it for you guys! when everything seemed to be going right for Ben and Cam, they hit a stumbling block. Hop on after the cut to see what it is.

Dope Quote #27

posted by on 14/11/2011

…..REDIRECT THE SUBSTANTIAL ENERGY OF YOUR FRUSTRATION AND TURN IT INTO POSITIVE, EFFECTIVE, UNSTOPPABLE DETERMINATION.‘ I came across this a few days ago, noted it down in my trusty Blackberry memopad which by the way is easier to type on that my iPhone while on the go. I can be super negative when things are not going to plan, it usually happens when a campaign I’m working on nears its deadline. I try to reverse psych myself up which isn’t the best way to keep going, instead of that – if I had unstoppable determination, imagine what I could achieve. Funny thing is, I’ve done it before so why do I keep on worrying? Stay positive. Right back to work I go after my first week of annual leave.

My-Wardrobe Spring/Summer 2012 Womenswear

posted by on 14/11/2011

Last week I went along with Niran to take a peek at the my-wardobe.com Spring/Summer collection. Beautiful patterns, bright block colours, mixed textures, funky denim, must-have jackets… the warmer months could not come round again sooner. Absolutely adored the selection of bags, especially the Comme des Garçons bold leather pouches. Next season also sees Burberry Brit’s debut womens range for my-wardrobe. Completely fell in love with with the classic fur-hooded jacket.

Massimo Dutti November Lookbook | Womenswear

posted by on 13/11/2011

Having showcased what Massimo Dutti have available for us guys I thought it would only be fair to highlight what they have in store for women this November. These lookbooks are both centred on the concept of dressing up for a “Special Event”, hence the formal aura and refined lines within the menswear range and the sophisticated chic and stylish feel to this womenswear offering. I do feel that this particular collection is geared towards the more polished and mature women however I can imagine that the dress in the third picture after the cut could be dressed up to look youthful if styled correctly and this goes for the white blazer too.

Frank Ocean – Live In London Review

posted by on 13/11/2011

The arrival of the fresh and undeniable sounds of Odd Future member, Frank Ocean, has finally hit London Town, and I couldn’t be more hyped. Having finally announced a set of headlining tours via his tumblr, the intimate setting of XOYO was selected for his sold out UK show (which funnily enough is where Jessie J performed for my last review), perfect for housing the soothing vocals of Mr Ocean. Having started at 9pm sharp, he had already impressed me with a feat many artists often take for granted – being ON TIME. But it didn’t stop there, despite performing entirely in solo i.e. no band, backup singer, hypeman or instruments and just a guy pressing play on a laptop, he had us hook line and sinker.

Chevy Sonic Skydive | Infinity List

posted by on 12/11/2011

I find myself checking out the Infinity List website every other week for more bizarre and dangerous but clearly not life threatening stunts, and I got more than I bargained for this week! Anyone ever seen a car skydiving? as this is new to me. This 3 minute film captures sky divers and a Chevy falling/gliding casually from the sky. Of all the videos I’ve seen on this site, this has been the most uncomfortable to watch because  I don’t understand how it works and how they’re still alive but that being said, it’s looking bloody amazing. Watch the clip after the beak
