Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Nikon AW100 Camo Bear | Advert

posted by on 03/11/2011

This has got to be the strangest advert that I have seen in a LONG time. You wouldn’t actually guess it was a Nikon advertisement till the very end – so so bizarre but at the end you understand what the message is towards the end. This Nikon can survive all weathers and conditions, to portray they’ve hired extreme sports enthusiasts Julien Lange, Daniel Americo and Miguel Fortes to dress up in a CAMO bear suit and film themselves do what they do best. Still strange…I want to know how effective this campaign will prove for Nikon. Watch it on the reverse.

Reiss Sample Sale – Wednesday 2nd – Saturday 6th

posted by on 02/11/2011

It’s that time of the year again. Mid-season sample sale time! Seems like there are many happening left right and centre. One of my favourite premium highstreet stores, Reiss are hosting one this week. If you’ve seen their collections before then you know the tailoring is ON POINT. Evidence here in for the form of a blog post. Last season’s sale was disappointing, mainly because of the venue. Continues on the reverse.

Film Review | The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn

posted by on 02/11/2011

Although I know of Tintin, I didn’t grow up watching him. I was part of the generation that watched Pokémon! But when I saw some exclusive footage at the recent EMPIRE big screen event, my interest was piqued. Tintin’s creator, a Belgian artist by the name of Hergé, famously proclaimed in 1983 that “If anyone can bring Tintin successfully to the screen, it is Steven Spielberg”. So does Spielberg deliver? Hit the link for my spoiler-free review to find out.

BBC Search For EastEnders: E20 Writers

posted by on 01/11/2011

Seen this opportunity that I think may interest some of our readers. If you’re a born writer and are between the ages of 16 and 22 then this might be a good way to get your foot in the door. It sounds ominous but from reading the ad, provided you’re successful, you’ll get full training with the EastEnders Script Writers and Producers, and become part of the BBC’s E20 Writers School which will give you so much experience. Previous graduates are now completing commissions for EastEnders, Holby City, Casualty and Doctors. So the BBC are looking to add 3 more talented people to join their roster of young writers and if you think that should be you, then you need to get applying! Deadline is WEDNESDAY 30th NOVEMBER 2011. More info after the break

Jill Scott (feat. Paul Wall) – "So Gone (What My Mind Says)" | Music Video

posted by on 01/11/2011

I never thought I would say Paul Wall is sexy. But damn. He is HAWT in this new video where he features alongside the real Queen, Jill Scott for their collab “So Gone (What My Mind Says)”. This track just took me back about 5 years when slowjams and R&B was my all time favourite genre of music and I used to buy compilation cds like ‘Seduction Central’ from Wood Green market. Oh memories! Hit the jump for the rather steamy visuals. I must warn you, the video is fine but the audio is definitely NSFW!

Danny Clinch – The Photographer

posted by on 01/11/2011

I’m sure a lot of you have seen his work in the past with the Roots and Absolut Vodka. Danny Clinch is one of the most respected photographers in the industry. He originally made a name for himself in the music scene by photographing the likes of Johnny Cash, Tupac, Bjork and even Bruce Springsteen. You name a publication, Danny’s work has most probably been printed in it. What I want to highlight in this post isn’t any of that, we’ll save all that for another post. I want to showcase his videography skills, which are exceptionally good by the way. More on the reverse.
