Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

TiRon & Ayomari – A Sucker For Pumps | LP

posted by on 24/09/2011

If you are already familiar with the Californian pair, TiRon & Ayomari – or at least TiRon and his culinary-themed LPs, then you have probably been anticipating the release of ‘A Sucker For Pumps’ for quite some time! If you have been living in a soundproof cupboard under the stairs, have terrible music taste or are just a little…late then you are about to experience some extreme “dopeness”. ‘A Sucker For Pumps’ is the latest in a long stream of high-quality, much-loved LPs and has features from BJ The Chicago Kid, Yummy Bingham, Captain is Cool, Iman Omari, D.R.U.G.S & Thundercat. Here I pick my 3 favourite tracks (which was a difficult task) and explain why I strongly believe that ‘A Sucker For Pumps’ is a classic. I’m already on my third day of listening to this album for over 5 hours straight, I just can’t get enough! And how often does that happen?

Uniqlo Innovation Project

posted by on 23/09/2011

Uniqlo have just unveiled their latest line called the Innovation Project, the collection went live at 1am this morning as an advanced preview for loyal Uniqlo customers. The collection describes itself therefore i need not delve into too much detail, but they are focusing on the technological aspect of sporty clothing. Perfect timing (as if that wasn’t intentional) for the autumn/winter season where each piece is weaved with special fabrics that will give the garment a specific feature such as: heat retention, anti-bacterial, wind proof, stretch, breathable, UV cut and Dry-Ex. It’s a great stance for Uniqlo just because even their branding gives you that expectation of a company that is ahead of time and producing the unexpected; also it puts them in a league of their own- only the would fuse technology and clothing and then get it right! Do check out the site and view the new collection for yourself, what do you think? Once again I have to hand it to the guys over at Uniqlo for a very intricately put together micro-site for the Innovation Project, nicely designed, well informed and serves its purpose.

When Pop Culture Meets History

posted by on 23/09/2011

…through Photo manipulation. You get some bizarre results that’ll make you look back at the image twice before realising it’s manipulated. All fun and jokes though, Ukrainian artist Danil Polevoy has chosen to rewrite history in his own unique way using Adobe Photoshop. You see the likes of Abraham Lincoln, Adolf Hilter, Darth Vader, Spiderman and Yoda fused together in the following set of images. The images are so well edited, definitely an interesting collage that’ll get you thinking. Imagine Hitler had Darth’s powers and the Stormtroopers. Okay this Relentless has clearly instilled some crazy caffeine high thoughts into my head.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 22/09/2011

This week’s throwback track is another classic this time from the 80′s, it’s a very well known and loved track that you will hear at any party. I went to my uncle’s wedding last weekend and when this song came on everyone was on their feet doing the electric slide. As simple as these steps dance steps are, you will manage to mess up no matter how focused you are… I tend to take this one very serious! It’s ‘Candy’ by ‘Cameo’. Enjoy

posted by on 22/09/2011

I’ve been waiting for Nikon to launch one of these, a compact camera with interchangeable lenses. The Nikon V1 is an incredibly small camera but very rich in terms of features, the camera comes fully equipped with: 10.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, full HD shooting at 30- or 60fps, built-in LCD viewfinder, ISO up to 3200 and a couple new features. More after the break.

Reebok Reethym of Lite Campaign

posted by on 22/09/2011

Ever since the Swizz Beatz affiliation with Reebok I have been quietly anticipating new releases from the brand in the hope that he would inject some much needed freshness. His Kamikaze III sneakers for the brand, to me, signified that indeed the brand were heading in the right direction. They have just released a lookbook for their Reethym of Lite Campaign and again it looks like they are making tracks on the right path. If they keep this up I can see Reebok becoming a big force on the streetwear scene once again.

Now you already KNOW if I was in London I’d be attending this event – tattoos – whaaaat?!  This is the seventh convention that London is hosting and according to my sources the organizers have gone a long way to change the event this year.  They’ve opened up areas, rooms and attractions to offer more to the public and to meet the demanding needs of all the loyal tattoo fans that attend every year.  Event details at the end.

Experience Human Flight

posted by on 21/09/2011

Only a few days ago I posted Inifinity List’s latest video: Experience Zero Gravity which was incredible. Well of late I’ve spent a bit of time exploring their website and have seen so many cool videos. This one is called Experience Human flight; it features sky divers hanging out in the middle of what looks to be the Earths atmosphere! It’s truly mind boggling, filming quality and editing is amazing.. can’t believe people are brave enough to do this! If I did something like this, I would die of shock before even reaching the ground! Watch the video after the break.

Instagram 2.0 – Most Significant Update

posted by on 21/09/2011

Who’s hooked? I’ve been using it since this time last year but slowly started to get bored of it and started using different apps to edit my photographs but my main reason for that was work. I had to Instagram photographs for an account I look after and logging in-out process is overly long. The app doesn’t remember your username/password so I just didn’t bother using my own app. Earlier today, the addictive photo application released its biggest update yet – 2.0. A lot of things have changed from the GUI, speed, filters and more. I’m loving how smooth the application is now, it’s much more slick. Even the icon has a touch of class and depth to it now. More information on the new features after the cut.
