Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Palladium x Pharrell Williams – Tokyo Rising Documentary

posted by on 04/09/2011

I should have posted this 2 days ago, in fact I should have attended the premiere at Soho House on Friday but you know, I’m work full-time now – can’t skip work like I used to skip classes. That is one of the downsides of working life :(! Palladium team up with the BBC co-founder/N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams to look into Tokyo’s uprising movement from the recent earthquake and nuclear tragedies. I definitely recommend watching this documentary, it’s real insightful. I’ve just got half way through the 2nd part before my Firefox decided to crash. Most probably down to all the flash players, damn annoying. Hop on after the cut for all 5 parts. Perfect Sunday viewing.

MLK x CRL – Teleportin' | Music Video

posted by on 04/09/2011

Eargasms will be up TOMORROW so apologies on the delay. Till then I want you to listen and watch the visuals to up and coming London duo MLK n CRL‘s latest song ‘Teleportin‘. I’m not quite sure what genre this song falls under – it has a bit of dubstep, rap plus a catchy hook. The video directed by the talented Saul Abraham of Souleymane Films follows the journeys of a boy and a girl in search of love – you’d expect it to be the typical cheesy video from that description but its quite the opposite. I think it’s quite psychedelic. I tweeted one half of the duo to get his description of the song – ‘why fly when you can teleport” — two paths travelled by a kindred spirit, get lost in a the unmentioned spiritual realm of love’. Sums it up perfectly, now jump after the cut to watch it.

Barbour x Tokihito Jacket – Olive Sporting Jacket Review

posted by on 03/09/2011

Let’s take a moment to laugh at my serious farmer face. I decided to hop in front of the camera for a change as I needed new photographs for a design I’m working on, promise it has nothing to do with my narcissistic ways. Big thank you to Katy of Aphrodite for sending us this lovely Barbour jacket to shoot. I should have written up this post last night but my brain was dead from working a 9 to 9, never work from home. It’s hard to concentrate with all the distractions haha. Plus the campaign I’m working on is coming out REAL SOON. Digressed a bit into my life for a second, Barbour have collaborated with Japanese designer Tokito Yoshida who has reworked the brand’s famous quilted jackets to give it his own touch with a focus on durability and ergonomics. More on the reverse.

Molton Brown – Navigation Through Scent Launch Recap

posted by on 02/09/2011

Last night after work I headed down to Molton Brown‘s launch event for its new fragrance collection, Navigations Through Scent. The intimate event took place at RSA Vaults, a space in the backstreets of the Strand, rather fitting for a fragrance that’s so focused on spices from all the different regions of the world as the vaults were originally built during the British Empire to store stolen imported *cough* spices. If I’m honest, I really don’t know much about the brand, I’m not one for bath stuff and candles. However this collection is UNISEX and I did bring along my trusty accomplish/amazing girlfriend who will be breaking down the fragrances for you guys. Hop on after the cut.

London Bus Tour By Moritz

posted by on 02/09/2011

Directed and edited by Moritz Obeerholzer (London based) ‘London Bus Tour‘ brings you insight into everyday London from the inside of a bus. I really enjoyed watching this, the editing is quite impressive and there are also some beautiful stills in there- Moritz even managed to make people look happy. Good choice of music also, the video reminds me a little bit of the Windows Phone adverts that came out last year… if it was only 30sec long maybe. Watch the film after the break.

Mixtape | Daniel De Bourg – The Bridge

posted by on 02/09/2011

Music is a wonderful thing. I love days when new music grabs my attention or rediscover an artist that I never really paid much attention too only to realise that they are pretty dope. Yesterday I had such a day, I’ve heard of the name Daniel De Bourg before and knew about a mixtape that he had out but never really paid much attention (I don’t know why) but yesterday something made me check him out. I think it was because of twitter that I decided to have a listen to his freshly released second mixtape entitled The Bridge, the first being The Prelude, and I have to say that it is quite DOPE! His voice is all that and a bit more lol. I don’t wanna go on and on about how good I think he is but instead give you the opportunity to hear for yourself so hope on after the break and listen to his dopeness and then download his mixtapes.

Farah Vintage 2011 Autumn/Winter Lookbook

posted by on 02/09/2011

Autumn/Winter clothing doesn’t have to be all about coats and jumpers but instead we can opt for a more refined less bulky look by selecting similar clothes that we would wear in the summer but just in cooler colour tones to match the season. In the new Farah Vintage 2011 Autumn/Winter Lookbook we can see that they are offering an assortment that would be a miss in the summer season but can easily fit well for the cooler months. The collection stays true to their European sophisticated and modern influences. Take a look after the cut.

Supra Autumn 2011 Boots Collection

posted by on 02/09/2011

I’m quite impressed with the new line of Supras, they’ve reinvented the shoe and given it an all new modern look. The new ‘Douglas‘ and ‘Skyboot‘ are both reminiscent of the classic Timberland Boots and the Abington Boots; well insulated, waterproof and they come suited and booted so to speak with good quality full grain leather. The Douglas boots are finished with heavy gauge stitching, woven rope laces and are available in three colourways. The Skyboots are the same only the laces are made from raw leather, they feature heavyweight moccasin-style stitching and come in 5 different colourway. See shots from the collection after the break.

Rosie Huntington-Whitley, Ryan Reynolds & David Gandy For Marks & Spencers

posted by on 02/09/2011

YES you read that title right, this isn’t a Victoria’s Secret/D&G/Film-related post but about British retailer M&S‘s latest campaign. They’ve certainly changed their target audience with this campaign to a much more younger audience from the usual 30/40+ types. I wonder how they feel about Rosie taking the spotlight away from the more ‘real’ women such as Lisa Snowden, Twiggy and Danni Minogue. I’m not complaining though, Rosie looks incredible as always. The model turned actress joins actor Ryan Reynolds as the new faces of M&S, the lookbook is shot by BAFTA award winning photographer Greg Williams outside St Pancras Station in London. If this doesn’t make the public think twice about Marks and Sparks, I don’t know what will. It’s an interesting marketing shift though – I wonder what else they have in store.
