Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Sony Dev-5 Digital Binoculars

posted by on 22/08/2011

Firstly I would like to apologise because I feel like I have abandoned you guy for a couple of days but fear not I am back a fully focused once again. Now back to the meat and chips of this post. Sony bring to us the Dev-5 which is supposedly the first ever digital binoculars. The device offers superb manification with the added ability to record what you see in full HD, including sound. Not only that but the Dev-5 also has capture scenes in stereoscope for playback on 3D-ready devices as well as being capable of snapping photographs that are equivalent to using a 7.1 megapixle DSLR. Are you impressed or do you just think this is just another unneeded gadget on the market?

Someone Please Buy Me…

posted by on 22/08/2011

This may be a completely selfish post but I just have to express my love for this Louis Vuitton Bag. Over the years i’ve notice that my eye seems to be drawn to more and more expensive items and honestly it’s actually getting on my nerves. My eye for new things and my bank balance obviously have no communication, hopefully one day i’ll be able to just walk into a shop and buy whatever I so desired on that particular day even if it’s just for one day. Anywho until that day i’ll just drool on over these bags, oh by the way this bag is the Louis Vuitton 45 Damier Infini Keepall Duffel Bag from their 2011 Autumn/Winter collection.

Ignacio Torres' 3D Photo Animations 'Stellar'

posted by on 22/08/2011

These are almost as impressive as the cinemagraphs I posted a few months back, these stunning multi-dimensional photographs by Ignacio Torres are real simple to make. Not to take away from Ignacio’s talent with the camera though, his photography is pretty impressive with the use of fairy dust – he creates these magical results and combines four images into an animated .gif file. Check out his work on the reverse, I obviously didn’t embed the animation in the image above!

Damn running late with the post this week. I’m ill again – don’t ask. Weak immune system and folks around me keep spreading the lurgies. H’annoying. Hop on after the cut for this week’s musical goodness. We’re spreading the gospel to your ears.

Canterbury Lifestyle – A/W 2011 Lookbook

posted by on 21/08/2011

This brand has been around for yonkers but I only discovered them a few months back, better late than never I guess? Their Canterbury Lifestyle sways away from the traditional Rugby aesthetic with an Ivy League inspired A/W collection featuring plaid shirts, striped crewneck sweats, chinos, gillets and um shorts? (shorts in the winter, are you mad? haha). I really dig the sweatshirt over shirt look, it’s something I have yet to experiment with. I can’t wait for the Autumn season to play with layering – way more fun than the summer, don’t you agree? Images on the reverse.

Rehearsal Rooms | Emeli Sande – 'Heaven'

posted by on 21/08/2011

Oh gosh, I love live acoustic renditions of tracks. It’s when you can differentiate real talent from the autotune artists and there’s no doubting Miss Emeli Sande‘s talent. The good folk over at Pinboard Blog feature the up and coming singer in their exclusive show, produced in association with Red Bull Studios London. Big fano of the show because of the quality – the production, art direction and lighting is always on point. I need that big light for my shoots, love the blurry texture it creates. Enough talk about the video, let’s focus on the music. This is my favourite version of her single, it’s so raw. I’m sat here singing along with her, not quite on her level yet. Props to sister @Miss_Tosin for putting me on this, hop on after the cut to peep.

For those of us who keep a keen eye on the blogsphere and the ‘urban’ scene, we’ve watched SB.TV grow from YouTube videos with a cult (yet strong) following, to the grime scene’s biggest visual outlet, and finally, to a rapidly flourishing media brand.

The Arsenal: 125 @ Saatchi Gallery Recap

posted by on 21/08/2011

Ah what a day, a long ass day . My left eye has been twitching all day, no idea why!? One of my colleagues said it’s down to tiredness, it’s probably that and the fact I stare at a screen for 10+ hours a day. Today was a little bit special, the lovely folks over at Nike invited us down to the private viewing of their exhibition with Arena Homme + magazine commemorating Arsenal‘s 125th birthday. Of course as a Gooner, I was certainly not going to miss this opportunity. The prospect of meeting a few players and reigniting my love for football lured me in. P.S. I wrote this on Thursday – should have posted last night but I fell into a 10 hour slumber as soon as I got home.

Fossil Machine Stainless Steel Watch

posted by on 20/08/2011

Behold the Machine Stainless Steel Watch, one of Fossil’s latest additions. The sporty but stylish watch features an attractive velvet face for the smoke and brown watches only (silver for the silver watch) with a technical dial and a matte finish strap for a sharp and smooth feel; the watch also features a stainless steel body. You can get the Machine watch for £135 online or in store, which is slightly more expensive than the average Fossil watch but I would buy one! It comes in three metallic colours: silver, brown and smoke.. silver all the way!

The Weeknd – Thursday | Mixtape

posted by on 19/08/2011

Oh here we go, I struggled to get out of bed, felt like I had a crazy Thursday night like the girl above. I don’t know what it’s about Fridays, just can’t get up! #fidead. Though seeing my timeline swarmed with music bloggers posting links to the Weeknd‘s latest mixtape – Thursday makes me happy. I’m actually looking forward to the commute into work now. It’s always kind of dead on the trains, perfect for some relaxing R&B. *Sings in falsetto* not a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday but a Friday. Mixtape on the reverse.
