Musician, Producer and Foreign Exchange member, Zo! has treated us soul fans to a third instalment in his covers series, ‘Just Visiting‘. The EP features appearances from Phonte, Sy Smith, Eric Roberson, Jeanne Jolly and Anthony David. This EP is perfect for the Neo Soul aficionado who will appreciate both the original versions of the songs, as well as the artists covering them. However, Zo!’s ‘Just Visiting Three’, as well as his previous collections, will benefit the soul novice that wants to delve into the genre. Zo! would probably call himself a pianist/keyboard-player as these are his two main instruments, however the Detroit-born instrumentalist is self-taught on the bass guitar, drums and guitar. More on the reverse.
Zo! has worked with a huge array of artists, including: Slum Village, Asylum 7, YahZarah and Platinum Pied Pipers. You couldn’t really narrow Zo! down to just one genre, and you’ll hear in the EP that he has obvious influences from R&B, Soul and Reggae. If you’d like to check out some more of his music, I’d advise you to head to the Foreign Exchange website where you’ll find material from Zo! himself, as well as Justus League member, Median and of course Phonte & Nicolay!
